How funny was tonights Corrie?
All those scens in the Barlow's house were absolutely hilarious! Deirdre and Ken telling Blanche about Wanda trying to climb into bed with them and Ken saying "Thank god i was wearing pyjamas!" LOL
Then later Deirdre getting annoyed as it was her who got her friend to find out the truth yet Wanda was saying how Kenneth is psychic

Lol and Wanda spending ages in the bathroom, and she left the door open. Then Tracey put an air freshener on the table.

It was a great episode. Just lots of great writing and little scenes with no major drama. Wanda *must* be allowed the odd walk on spot. We must petition it!

Classic Blanche - "She were a lovely corpse. She was just back from 2 weeks in Rhyl - did her the world of good"!

Wanda - "Blanche loves the bones of you lot"
Blanche - "Well I wouldn't go that far"

Blanche - "Give her time - she only goes once a week"

There's probably more.

Kirk crying at the film

And I *heart* Leanne since she's come back. She's great - "What about your mate? Is he special needs or something?"!

I *heart* Jamie for totally different reasons

And how sweet is Tyrone?

I liked the bit with Leanne and Maria. Leanne knows how to put that bitch in her place doesn't she.

I know I'm on my own here, but I do find Wanda a bit contrived.

I think Blanche is a great character, and I have enjoyed her banter with Wanda, and tonight was the best I have seen the 2 of them, but I prefer Blanche when she feeds off Ken and Deirdre as it seems more natural. I've found the comedy with Wanda a bit forced at times

today's episode was pure class, very funny.

blanche: on wearings specs "Now do I look like a moose?"

Wanda can't go! Her and Blanche are just too funny.

Leanne? I can't stand her since she came back. She's turned into such a nasty bitch, with really no redeeming features whatsoever.

I totally agree. Wanda is a 2-dimensional, panto character. The only upside to her presence is that she gives Blanche the opportunity to be even more amusing than usual, Wanda herself isn't up to much IMO.

Leanne and Jamie really work very well as a couple, can't say the same about Warren and Candice though. Maria's character is totally dull, and this plot with Tyrone has been drawn out long enough. The scenes with the Davenports and Websters aren't at all entertaining either.

Can't wait til all the more gripping storylines corrie have lined up, start airing.. and all the filler and build-up plots are finished with.

Oh I disagree. I think Corrie's filler episodes are fantastic, just as good as the dramatid ones. It's only right it calms down between two of the most explosive plotlines to date!

I don't think Wanda was up to much, but Blanche made up for this. I thought Sally was pretty good tonight and I'm neutral over Maria and Tyrone.

I hate Leanne and Jamie though!

I loved the scenes where everyone was taking the p*ss out of Sally. And you can see clearly how it's leading up to her affair. I wonder how this one will end. Maybe he dies on top of her? Now that would worth her having an affair.

Oh yeah, I do agree that they're worth watching and are amusing, but since we know what's coming up soon.. the minor plots like the Maria and Tyrone will-they-won't-they scenario, get old quickly IMO.

Yes, the bad thing about spoilers. We tend to ignore the current plots by looking forward to the biggies as they can't compare really.

Quite a shame really.

Wanda (to Ken) - I have to confess, I owe you a bottle of cooking sherry. It was off anyway.

Ken - We don't have any cooking sherry, but we do have a half-empty bottle of balsamic!

(Can't remember it exactly, but who cares!)

Of course it's contrived. All fictional drama is contrived.

It was hilarious! Do you think that she bought a plot next to hers?

Can't stand Tyrone, well that isn't true. I can't stand him pining over Maria...get over it fool! Shame she will get with him!

The rest was great, I like these episodes as if it was drama all the time people would be criticising saying that it isn't realistic.

I would have agreed with you about Wanda until yesterday - I thought it was all rather forced. But then I watched the ITV2 repeats yesterday afternoon, and on second viewing Wanda was great. "Ken's a nice bit of trouser" I do hope they keep her on as Blanche's friend - she only lives over in Rosamond Street so she could pop in and harrass Kenneth .

Writer last night was Jonathan Harvey and he didn't disappoint me. My favourite line was Maria and Candice:

Candice:"it's, yknow that thing where you get what you deserve."
Maria: "Karma?"
Candice: "No, I'm furious."

I think the girl who plays Candice is great - I know she gets a lot of stick but I think given the right material she has true Corrie camp greatness

I love Corrie's filler plots - and people a couple of weeks ago were moaning about constant Karen and Tracey bitchfests, so it's good to have a break from that plot so that we can really enjoy it when it returns.

I got a bit scared when she summoned Blanche. Only a few minutes previously she was on the throne as Tracyluv gave testiment to and had the door open yet she still wanted Blanche to go up to her

I know this, but most of Corrie comedy sits well with the drama - very natural. I just find it a bit forced, that's all.
