Anyone know if apple are releasing a new itouch any time soon ??

Daughter wanting a itouch for xmas, but wouldnt want to buy too soon if a new one is just around the corner, since Apple drop the old tech like hot spuds with support.

There could well be a new iPod Touch (no such thing as an iTouch) when Apple make their keynote speech on Sept 12th.

There's certainly an update due.

There are some rumours here on what the spec may be.

Hopefully we will know more on 12th September which is when Apple are rumoured to make their next announcement.

Another rumour going around is that the new Nano may also have a touch screen.

I'm in need of a 128GB model or greater. I doubt I'll be granted my wish, however.

I'm hoping for a new iPod Touch, too. Mine's 2nd gen and the battery is about dead now, along with it struggling with newer apps. Fingers crossed for good news.

Mine too. I've held out long enough and I'm definitely due for an upgrade.
Game Center doesn't work anymore and so many apps are iOS5 now so I can fully justify it.

It would also be nice to quadruple my storage capacity
