I dont see what is stagnant about iOS6. It now has
* Maps * Siri * Shared photo streams * Passbook * FaceTime * A PHONE! * EMAIL! * A web browser * Accessibility Whats not future about that? On a serious note, the facebook thing means bugger all to the end user, yet Apple are flouting it as it is. It is purely a single "Social" interface for developers. |

No offense but a quick glance through your posting history shows as in your own words you "hate iPhone its junk" so your opinion is biased.
So, without avoiding the question, what's in iOS6 that you don't already have apart from facebook integration? Oh and siri that maybe actually works after a year of it being a selling point for the 4S but never actually working properly outside the US? |

What has Jellybean got that ginger bread didn't have?
Anyway, there are some amazing Android phones, the S3 isn't one of them. |

By the way I don't see anyone else able to show a photo of them holding an iPhone 4s and a Galaxy S3. I clearly have both and depressingly although the iPhone 4s is a lot older than the S3 the iPhone has a brighter better PPI screen. So if the iPhone 4s is better I can safely assume the iPhone 5 will really make it look like "junk" |

1 of them being incremental updates. Instead of downloading say a 50mb app again just to update it, it downloads simply the code that has changed. Many others like offline voice, google now etc. Quote:

Odd that considering the S2 and now the S3 are outselling iphones....To be honest, i bet that wasn't even your S3. No person can possibly say after 1 day a phone is crap. Your on a wind up. |

I have shown both my 4S which you laughably didn't have a clue about saying it was a 4 even with a clear marker missing from it! Then i showed my S3 and my computer that you didn't seem to believe i had oddly...funnily enough, you never commented once when i showed you.... The iphone screen is diabolical. colours are way off, its dull., lifeless and the AMOLED screen puts it to absolute shame with proper blacks, not grey like the iphone and nice vibrant colours. |

Everyone has their own choice and I believe the iPhone 4S is faster, slicker and more responsive than my Samsung Galaxy S3. You think the S3 is better, that's how the world works we need a choice and the choice keeps prices down. Your weird obsession is unhealthy reading all the problems you had with your iPhone I am starting to think you had a cheap Goophone copy. I have forwarded your comments to a Apple forum official via official channels so hopefully they will contact you soon. |

I'm not really that into Facebook, however on iOS 6 you can see your Facebook contacts with your main contacts if you choose to. Also the Share button on several built-in iOS apps have options to post/share to Facebook. Pretty much the same with Twitter. So it is visible to users who want to use it. It's unifying what Mountain Lion already does for Twitter and will do for Facebook on the next point release.
I cant think of many built-in iOS apps i'd want to share from though. |

I doubt (but will stand corrected), if passbook even works outside the US. You notice how the airport example is just an internal flight....

At the moment it doesn't work in the UK - at least not on the latest beta. No idea if it will work outside the US on the release version. But I suspect that other then holding cinema and flight tickets etc. You can load up prepaid virtual cards and use it pay (perhaps using NFC) for small things like coffee etc. It all depends on what partners they get on board, in various countries I guess

Does that mean though that the UI is now going to be cluttered with facebook links?.

You're bitter I get, your S3 is being updated so the one you have is going to lose value. But grow up and get a grip.

Your blinkered view is distorting reality sadly.Quote:

This is annoying, so many of the apps I downloaded for the S3 that used location for takeaway food, sight seeing etc told me I needed to be in the USA for them to work.
I just used S-Voice there to see takeaways and it listed them all in my area. |

What on earth for? I take it you do remember how many problems you had with your iPhone? I went through your posting history and put links to a post containing each fault and sent it to an Apple admin. You had the most faulty iPhone ever and Apple want to speak to you about it |

It's not just the built-in apps that can use it. There are new APIs in iOS 6 to allow developers to implement posting to Facebook with just a few lines of code, and there's complete user control over which apps are allowed to access the system-saved account details.

Facebook integration was around since the days of my old HTC Hero. Also the pull down notification. I really don't understand how Apple can sue for other phone makers using a slide to unlock, but rip off other features whenever they see fit. A lot of what has "progressed" in IOS the past few updates are things that were quite basic in Android powered phones.

Why you guys getting personal? can't we keep to the topic, not bash each other. It's ok to criticise the likes of Apple and Sansung etc and the various handsets but can we keep things civil?
I think you both made your points regarding the S3 and the Iphone. But no real need to insult each other, right? Tracey has just been caught talking garbage. I call her up and she hurls abuse then blocks me. Anyway, im out of this. Back onto the proper subject i think before the mods have a fit in here!! |
