After Steve Jobs said that 'nobody wants 7" tablets they are DOA oversized phones' and looking at the huge success of the Nexus 7, Apple will look very desperate if they launch an iPad Mini....and it still wouldn't be as good as a Nexus 7 or Galaxy Tab 7.

Companies always backtrack, and Steve Jobs thought wasn't nessasseraly tat of Tim Cook who is CEO.

Not as good? I would bet it has a better GPU as the Nexus 7 GPU is poor compared to the current iPad.

What do I know about the iPhone 5? It will run all my apps I currently have and I will not have to repurchase them. Also android do not have all the apps I need.

What do I know about android? I will have to repurchase over £100 of apps and some apps I need are not even available.

What more knowledge do I need?

So that just means you are stuck in the Apple ecosystem, well done. How is that a good thing?

That could equally happen in reverse if you had a £100 of app on android.

But your sig would not contain what I typed, I could alter several of your comments to suit me. I don't as I give your comments the respect they deserve.

I have obviously miss understood you, I thought you were pretty cool and not "too" biased. It seems you're like the rest of the idiotic "fanbois" I have on ignore.

You're not yet on ignore as you're quite nice forumer and never offensive.

Yup it could be that I would be stuck with android. However they don't produce the apps I need for work. That seems to me like it's a good thing that I have apps available for work. Don't you?

I dont see a difference between
"Apple understand customers needs change" and
"Apple understands the needs of its customers change".

So why did it take them almost 3 years to give their customers wallpaper backgrounds (lol) and a proper notification system (even if it was stolen from Android). Apple don't seem very receptive to change at all. More, this is what we want you to do, and if you don't like it tough. Like the fact that everything HAS to go through iTunes...what if you just wanted to drag and drop 1 file? Do you have to add it to your iTunes library then wait for it to sync, blah blah blah. They can't even give their users the ability to properly control their own device...

You would need to ask Apple.

Apparently nothing then apple for life eh?

Hence my other point they can produce what they want charge they want and it seems your happy enough then.

By the way I wouldn't worry about the hundred quid you'll save twice that that buying a better phone.

Assuming the rumors are true and we are talking about a quad core CPU/GPU phone with a 300+ DPI screen and retail at £500 how can he save hundreds and buy a better phone?

Very desperate? How so?

With the public disclosure of internal Apple emails in the Samsung case, it's now known that a 7-ish inch tablet was discussed at the highest levels in Apple late in 2010, and Jobs was apparently quite receptive to the idea at that time, despite his earlier objections.

Well I assume your talking about the iPhone 5 there and £500 may be optimistic I think the 4s was that so I suspect the 'new iphone' will be more, however I was talking in terms of over a contract which will be at least £10 a month less.

In terms of phone itself the S3 can be had for less than 400 so just the phone saves the app cost.

300 dpi screen don't tell me even you have bought into the retina nonsense as well.

I can't get the software I need for work on android. I discussed this earlier on in this or one of the other threads. I don't intend to cover old ground. Suffice to say a phone that does not have the apps I need is useless to me. So where's this saving again?

Well we will take your word about apps although I would ask my employer to pay for your phone if you require an iphone for work essentially.

I have already shown you the saving to be had aside from that.
