I bought a large-nozzled piping set from Lakeland a few months ago, and I was really excited about it. The nozzles are great, but the bag is absolutely awful. It's thin, there's no plastic bit on the end to attach the nozzle to, and the buttercream literally seeps out the material and makes my hands all greasy. It's almost like a one-use one.

This one.

Are there any good brands of bags in which a nozzle will slide into without needing to screw on? Or are disposables best?

Thanks.

I bought this one from John Lewis, it's easy to use and wash.

I had one by Tala, absolute rubbish as piping bag was too stiff.

there isn't a bit to attach the nozzle on, you put the nozzle inside the bag!

I bought a pack of disposable icing bags from Asda. It says "disposable", but I just wash them after use.
There isn't a plastic connector though, which is a pain in the backside if I want to change nozzles.

I had a Tala one which had a plastic attachment on the end of the bag for screwing the nozzle to, making changing nozzles mid-pipe very simple.

The fact that the Lakeland one doesn't have it isn't the problem, it's that the bag is ridiculously poor quality. I suppose I will just buy disposable bags to make use of my awesome nozzles.

That's probably what I will do. I really do love the chunkier nozzles.

Like a fellow forumite once so eloquently wrote: I can't pipe for shit. But with this one I can manage: Dr Oetker Decorating Syringe.
Technically it's not screw on. It's a bayonet system.

Even though this site is in America, it's exactly the same thing as I bought in Birkenhead !
