he is really not popular here on these forums, but robbie williams cant be ignored with over 43 million worldwide record sales.

edit: the opening post as altered, record sales were mentioned in the original post.

You don't know much about Will Young if you think he's manufactured!

To be fair the title question could be open to interpretation - most talented at what? Songwriting? Singing? All-round entertainment?

I like both Gary and Will, both talented song-writers and singers

Jesus, there are many more men in the UK who have more talent in their little fingers than these two have in their whole bodies, combined.

This is a ridiculous question. Gary is a fantastic songwriter and has been in the business for a long time. Will is a great singer and now, with his performance in Cabaret, a superb stage actor. So Will is more versatile as he has also written many songs.

Will Young is a very good songwriter now and he's always been a fantastic live singer and performer, plus he has a lot of other talents including acting, writing and musical theatre etc, but he's still only 11 years into his career so to compare to Gary Barlow or Robbie Williams careers is a bit silly really.
I do prefer Will Young's voice though to the other two and I also think he's the better singer out of the three, I'm enjoying following his career up to now.
Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams both have successful careers spanning over 22 years and so of course Gary and Robbie are far superior to Will.

I'd say Plan B.

Rap album to soul album to hip hop album, writes and produces his own material, wrote and directed his own movie, completed the soundtrack to that movie, tackles issues that he knows won't be commercial (such as the 'Ill Manors' song) plus on top of that he tours the UK and works closely doing projects with schools and kids from poverty ridden backgrounds. Isn't bad live either, plus is a nice guy.

Labrinth is a pretty fantastic producer as well.

Robbie Williams is rank rotten in my book.

Gary is very talented but Will Young has a better range and style imo

Definitely not Gary Barlow. I've always thought he was extremely overrated.

Gary Barlows is as manafactured as Will Young in the early days he'd dress up in a leather thong and whipped cream i'd personally take pop idol any day

And as for lyrical ability am i the only one who thinks Gary is genric uneffecting and dull seriously if he is the best male we have im worried i may not like either but Will is above and beyond.

At the moment I would say Calvin Harris. He writes and produces everything he does, and although he has sold out a bit, he still has an original sound, and has come up with some great songs in the past few years.

Well it's neither Will Young or Gary Barlow. Noel Gallagher, Paul McCartney, Chris Martin and Matt Bellamy are all much more talented.

I'd agree with this but also add Labrinth is also more than a decent singer as well.

Fully agree, but the op only gave 2 options and out of the two mentioned there is no contest really.

In recent times I would say Noel Gallagher is the most talented male in the music business in the UK.

Well it was Pop Idol but I fail to see how over 10 years on in his career he is 'manufactured'?
