Great move. I have a WiFi iPad and have often thought it'd be great to watch iPlayer on long train/coach journeys.

I've updated the app no my iPhone and I cant see any options to download programmes

How do I, for example, download last nights, Panorama at 20:30 to my phone?

Mine appears on the episode page, underneath the video/image is the download link.

I'll stick to getting my BBC shows via other methods, as that way I can keep it longer than 30 days.

Appears there on my iPhone. Are you running latest iOS?

Just watched last night's Only Connect in rather excellent quality on my iPad in a Travelodge with no WiFi. Perfect

I'm OK now. My work wi-fi must tell the App I am out of the country, so no download feature. It's working fine at home and on the train.

Great news. Next, I hope they finally allow radio downloads on any platform!

This new facility works perfectly as proven when I downloaded a couple of programmes at home then watched them on a plane journey shortly afterwards.

However subtitles are not available on this
