How much to fix this N8?
Hello, just wondering if this would be easy enough to fix? How much would you be looking at to fix? (bottom right)
http://i45.tinypic.com/30ud21j.jpg Also how much would you pay for this phone in this state? |

I know, reason I am asking is because someone has just put it on gumtree asking for offers, is it just a case of getting new housing for it? it works, just been dropped i think. Hes asking £80 for it.

I think i would leave it myself, that's a fair old knock and there is bound to be internal damage to vital components.
Even if it appears to "work" i wouldn't expect a long lifespan. |

Hi
I recently got a N8 re-housed it cost me £75 to have it done but was well worth if but it had to be done by a Nokia repair centre. I think the price in that condition ought to be nearer £50. |

Hes just been on the phone to me now, offered him £50 and he said he wouldnt take less than £70 for it.
Looked online and it seems to be quite common. I think I will leave it for the price he is asking. |

If it's just the bottom cover hanging off, exactly the same happened to mine and a replacement 2nd hand part was only about 4 quid on ebay.

that shouldn't really cost anything to fix.
if you a T4 driver you can just remove the screws and re-seat it. if the bottom bit needs replacing they are only a couple of quid. but that is where the antennae is housed so you need to remove it carefully from the old bit and put it in the new bit. |
