Hello, just wondering if this would be easy enough to fix? How much would you be looking at to fix? (bottom right)

Also how much would you pay for this phone in this state?

I know, reason I am asking is because someone has just put it on gumtree asking for offers, is it just a case of getting new housing for it? it works, just been dropped i think. Hes asking £80 for it.

I think i would leave it myself, that's a fair old knock and there is bound to be internal damage to vital components.

Even if it appears to "work" i wouldn't expect a long lifespan.

Hi

I recently got a N8 re-housed it cost me £75 to have it done but was well worth if but it had to be done by a Nokia repair centre.

I think the price in that condition ought to be nearer £50.

Hes just been on the phone to me now, offered him £50 and he said he wouldnt take less than £70 for it.

Looked online and it seems to be quite common.

I think I will leave it for the price he is asking.

That sounds sensible to me, considering you would need to get the work done and the phone checked out.

If it's just the bottom cover hanging off, exactly the same happened to mine and a replacement 2nd hand part was only about 4 quid on ebay.

that shouldn't really cost anything to fix.

if you a T4 driver you can just remove the screws and re-seat it. if the bottom bit needs replacing they are only a couple of quid. but that is where the antennae is housed so you need to remove it carefully from the old bit and put it in the new bit.

It maybe then again it may not be, if it was that easy why hasn't the person selling it spent the £4 and replaced it then sold the phone for twice the price they currently ask for it!

If it sounds too good to be true......
