AJ is back in EE but while we see him slapping his hands in the air and listening to his earphones, are we going to see a any potential storylines for him?

would be nice to see him leave the Masood house too...

He needs to sit around and be funny for now, no major stuff untill Christmas.

He already is tied to a family, so they need not establish ties for him to justify him being there. EE needs to focus on getting AJ settled in, get a job, get straight how he got there etc. After that, give him a story of his own, characters who we could warm to a little before they started the drama are usually more succesfull.

I also can't get over how the Masood brother's look alike!! Such good casting, it's uncanny, even better than Tanya/Abi, although the person deciding that needs credit too, as Abi was too young to know for sure what she's look like later on.

The Slaters were also well cast like that, so was MAx, he really looked like Bradley and Jim.

But nothing beats this, very well done!

Not a Corrie thread then? If only there were some way of letting people know in advance, save them the trouble of opening a non-interesting thread.

yes, you're right because it takes years of your life to get into a thread. If only someone, somewhere would invent a button that you click to take you back a page in milliseconds..oh wait

Well, erm, obviously it isn't. I don't recall anyone in Corrie at the moment called AJ.

Err so non interesting that you clicked and posted
Oh and dont recall anyone called AJ in corrie and the one in neighbours spelt Ajay, so its pretty obvious.

I think they are just settling him in on the square then proper SLs will start.

Any Corrie fan would no there are no characters called AJ in Coronation Street. What's the big deal?

I think AJ was brought in to give the Masoods more light-hearted stuff this year, after the dramatic time they had last year. Whether he'll get a more serious storyline at any point, I don't know, certainly not this year by the look of it.

Erm he has a storyline, he has split from his wife because he doesn't want children, he has fallen foul of Derek, he is annoying Zainab because he is a bad muslim. Not bad going for someone who has only been in a handful of episodes.

It's more realistic this way than if they had put him into ten major storylines at once.

I like him, its nice to see the light side of Mas again and anyone that winds Zainab up is always great viewing for me.

Just wondering what Tamwar's function is now and why he didnt leave when Afia left? :S

On the other hand, I've just thought of what could be done to correct the problem - it takes even less time to type EE or whatever into the thread title.

Is there anyone in another soap called AJ? You think I should have gone through the entire cast list to see if anyone had the initials AJ?

The big deal is starting a discussion about thoughtless FMs who start threads about a specific soap without indicating which soap it is. And I seem to have succeeded.

I don't think he'll be any more long-term than Afia was and he's only had secondary storylines. Apparently the actress who plays his wife is listed on a website that only deals with an actor's 'minor roles' not major ones, so it doesn't look like we'll see much of her and if that's the case, AJ can't live with Masood and Zainan forever.

I could be wrong though.

yeah, I wonder why they havent used him with fatboy, fats has been hanging out with lauren, lucy, alice, joey, poppy but tam hasnt featured at all in that at all, which is a shame as tam is/was a lovely character.

Blimey, I'd hate to p*ss you off! Talk about a bee in the bonnet! Where does it say in the forum rules you have to state the soap? Oh wait... it doesn't.

(Or am I being thoughtless with this post )
