Do you make video calls?
Who makes video calls on their mobile phone and how often do you use it?
I've Looked at reviews for mobile phones on various sites and quite often they moan if there isn't a front facing camera. I don't know anyone that makes video calls. |

My children love doing "Facetime" with their grandparents who live 500 miles away, plus we one did a "Facetime" call when we were in Florida and my parents were back in the UK.
To be honest though, video calling is much better on a tablet than a phone, especially with young kids who want to hold the device. |

Once in 2006. Front facing camera is only handy for self shots but they are always crap quality. Better just to point the back camera at yourself.

Made one call between me and my boss about 4 years ago (it was the day we both got new phones with front facing cameras, and wanted to try them out).
On the other hand, I've made video calls with Skype on my PC many times. |

ive used video skype a couple of times when on holiday (using local wifi).
Ive had video call options on most of my phones for many years ... Nokia N95 and probably before that. It hasnt really caught on IMHO. |

I think Video calling over 3G via networks which was getting big in the mid 2000's has now been replaced with video calling over skype/facetime/other third party apps so it just uses your data allowance/wi-fi. No network really does 'Video calling packs' any more and it's very expensive for both the operator and the end user.
In fact some phones now have removed the option to video call someone via 3G. I know a number of people, like mentioned above, that use skype or facetime to video chat with family members and friends who are overseas. |

Yep. I only make video calls over WiFi, and then very rarely. Never really bothered over 3G.

No I don't. I think I used facetime once on my iphone just to see what the big fuss was all about and saw that it was nothing special.
