EE - questions on Sharon
Where are they living now?
![]() I wonder what happened to all those inheritance she made when she left the square last time, didn't she own the pub & the bookies, and a house? She must have cashed them all in so how is she broke albeit with new, erm, clothes daily? I know long time ago now but it just goes to show how stupid the writing is for her return. |

It would be realistic and likely that huge mortgage to afford such a place, she would be paying to a place that was worth a tiny fraction of it was. So it goes to show how many really did suffer. I am married to an American and some of the states but in particular Florida even now the house prices are rock bottom. So much so we considered buying a holiday home for us and our families. She got £200 from Jack and a job. With that a adult can get a credit card to afford new things. With a credit card you pay at the end of the month, which she can do with her wages. Not the best way but it is what you do in a tight squeeze, many years ago I have done similar things. Got them on the plastic as I had no money and paid it off with my wages at the end of the month. |

She was going to marry the main guy from the failed soap Elderado. no wonder she had no money.
Ho0w much does a B and B cost these days. I dont think 200 quid will last that long, mind you that B n B must be the smallest one on this planet and dont get me started on why on earth a doctors surgery is in a pokey cellar flat. |

I find it best to just go along with it. Financial predicaments in EE are rarely realistic.

When Ian visited her she had a huge house in Florida. She would have bought the year she left 2006.....the worst time to buy. It was a year before it all started to kick off, when prices were at a all time high. Florida was one of the hardest places hit in the western world when the credit crunch hit, in particular the Florida property market. So she bought at the worst time and people forget that millionaires in places like this literally lost everything. Even those who bought at much more sensible times but 2006 you are likely to be screwed over.

I don't understand why she didn't pop into a ramsdens or go to a cashforgold stall in town centres to get money for her ring?
£200 is daylight robbery. What is jack going to do with a ring, of the jewellery variety, anyway? FREAK! |

AngelicPrincess talking so casually about the time Sharon left Eastenders as though the writer's actually thought about that and wrote it accordingly. As though the Eastenders writer's are so thorough, thinking through the economy and the state of Florida. Makes me lol.

I never said that was the case. I am just saying if the writers could explain it away. Someone was saying there was no realistic way of explaining it when I was pointing out actually with a little bit of thought (as its hardly rocket science) they could. But you are probably right and I am giving them far too much credit. But I am glad you got enjoyment out of it
![]() I'm not laughing at you, but as you say, the implication that the writer's thought that through.

I almost spit out my tea laughing at this same thought. The writers would be too stupid to think about it and I don't think too many audience members keep up what is happening to property in Florida!
I can not speak for you but I personally like to know what is happening in our world and be educated on what happens especially in the economic market. Doing this means you are more likely to make better choices with things such as investments. In fact doing so has worked out well for my family because we keep up with what is going on in the markets, we did very well on shares a few years back. I have spoken to lots of friends about this so I am sure many viewers would know all about it. This is not advanced economics, this is general knowledge. Not sure why it is so funny or something to sneer about not being ignortant about the world? |
