As a company can't comment on everyone they are just following orders, although that excuse has been used before

Yet you support Samsung a company with a history of allegations of corruption and bribery - don't get me wrong I'm not bigging up Apple here I think they all are as bad as each other.

There is an interesting graph here on Sky News (look to wards the bottom right - Graph: Smartphone Market Share in 2012 Global Smartphone market share on 146m units in the second quarter of 2012

I thought Apple had the biggest share, but they have only 17.8% compared with Samsung of 34.6%. Proves how wrong I've been along being tricked into believing Apple were the biggest (only for Q2 lol)

I think the issue is that apple used to play on the loveable underdog image. It worked well for them. Now they are the biggest company they have become everything they used to hate.

As their position as the biggest company with huge profits they are an ideal candidate to change how things work..... not become this decades Microsoft.

I don't think that Apple have ever been the biggest supplier of mobile phones, that has historically been Nokia and more recently Samsung. It is simply due to the huge range of phones of different prices and specifications which these companies.

Often though where the confusion comes from is that Apple certainly dominates the whole industry in terms of profits from the sale of mobiles. Apparently during the first quarter of 2012, in terms of profits Apple and Samsung between them accounted for 99% of the total global mobile market, Apple alone pulled in over 70%. I think that sometimes reports get mixed up, some analysts will say that Apple has a massively dominant market share and that gets mistranslated in units sold.

Lets face it, Apple could take a lump a poo, stick an Apple logo on it, and the iTurd would sell 10 million as their marketing is so slick

things I don't like (IF TRUE)...

Still has the sharp "block" edges.

If true the back plate looks naff - doubt Jobs would have passed that.

IOS - Nothing major. Just another update. IOS6 will add (and take away) features but its beginning to look and feel old compared to ICS/Jellybean and Windows Phone.

If true the spec seems to be last years phone at today's price sort of thing.

Just hope Apple will surprise us.

In a way the Galaxy S3 was a disappointment. The galaxy S2 with a bigger screen and older looking design. Had Quad core etc but it was a evolution rather than revolution. Will the iPhone be the same ? ? ? ?

There is a lot of this kind of post around here, but no one ever suggests what features should be put into new phones,

So Late8- Tell us what you would of like to seen in the S3 and what you would like to see in the iPhone 5.

Also don't for get the S3 is an evolution of the S2, an the iPhone 5 is an evolution of the iPhone 4.

But having a phone that isnt an iPhone which is a rectangle with round edges could land you in court. Just ask Samsung

This is very telling. It is totally correct and also what Samsung have been saying, and Apple ignoring for a long time.

Numerous scandals investigations fines etc google it and you will find a wealth of information about it.

Not sure why any tech company would be your enemy seems a bit extreme.

Seems the Apple Guardian has scored what may be its biggest ever hit in the often worth reading comments section with a "I CANNOT WAIT" ........ "That's what I'll do." comment.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology...phone-5-launch
515 likes so far and that is far higher than it ever gets.

edit - It also does show how the combination words of Apple and iPhone 5 pays its way in the media.
