Don't say "I'll only be using it for..." because the more you play with it the more things you will use it for.

If you have an Android phone then you have a google account. If you don't already use their contacts, email and calendar then now is a good time to start; get them syncing with your iPad.

And if you want to set up your Apple account without using a credit card, then there is a way to do that (google it and come back here if you can't find it). You can then use shop-bought vouchers instead.

And either way, buy plants vs zombies and osmos.

If you get a case, make sure it is the proper one from Apple. Expensive and well worth it.

Get a battery app.

Well what sort of things do you want to know?

Who are we to tell you what to do with your iPad. It's yours, play with it, use it, enjoy it! If you've got any questions when you've played around for a bit, then ask!

I saw someone drop their iPad recently, he had a slip of a cover on it which didn't help the back of his iPad. I would suggest you get a cover that protects the front and back, although I would get one that doesn't cover the bezel as you're able to see more of that lovely screen.

Enjoy am sure you will love it. One of the things I have loved since getting mine is reading books, it's gotten me back into it something I haven't done for ages.
