How can anyone watch and enjoy Zombie movies.?
Just beats me..I have watched a few and find them so banal.
The only movie that comes close to being good is George Clooney in from Dusk until Dawn. |

Peter Jackson's 'Braindead' is certainly not for everyone, but I defy anyone to watch that film and call it 'banal'. One of the craziest films I've ever seen, zombie or otherwise.

Anyone who ever worked in retail can tell you Dawn of the Dead (original) is frighteningly perceptive.

What shocks me most is someone confusing a Vampire film with a Zombie one. lol
I do like a good Zombie Film. I am also a fan of The Walking Dead. Brilliant show... I am more inclined to Vampires though... Buffy, Angel, True Blood (I know, not films) I was always fascinated by Vampires as a kid. However, I love the new type of Zombie (Walking Dead, 28 Days Later) where they have speed. Normal slow zombies are not that scary but ones that run after you, now that's scary

Shaun of the Dead was hilarious & 90's Zombie flick Dead Alive aka Braindead was also enjoyable in a extremely cheesy way.

How can anyone 'enjoy' anything? It would seem to be something to do with electro-chemical activity in the brain. As such, only very, very, very clever folks know the reasons why.

different things appeal to different people.
personally i don't mind the genre so long as the storyline is well thought out and the acting is good. that's a major issue that i have with so many horror films. it's just distracting and i never find them scarey (unless they're realistic, like the pyschological ones. those can scare the bejayzus out of me!! just don't have a blonde bimbo running away with her clothes torn off from a guy in bad prosthetics). as long as it's at least somewhat believable (doesn't have to be perfect...just not mind numbingly idiotic) then i give it a fair shot. and yes, shawn of the dead was brill!!!

I enjoy zombie films because its my form of escapism. I work long hours in two jobs and when I watch some movies I like them to be no-brainers, for want of a better word. I love the Romero films and I would say that the original Dawn of the Dead was the film to get me hooked. Love 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, The Evil Dead Trilogy, Dead Snow, War of the Dead, Shaun of the Dead, Juan of the Dead, to name but a few.
I think I would be a good friend to have in a zombie apocalypse!

Zombies are rarely scary, but with (the original) Dawn of the Dead they make for good satirical imagery. A load of brain dead idiots wondering aimlessly around a mall.

I loved Night of the Living Dead. I found it genuinely haunting.
Some of them are just silly, though. |

But isn't that kind of the point? They'll get you anyway, even if you run. A bit like Michael Myers etc. He never runs but still manages to get people.

Very tongue in cheek and very funny movie. |

Three words: Zombie Flesh Eaters.
![]() http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080057/ Has to be one of my favourite zombie movies, along with any other of Lucio Fulci's zombie films. Dare I even be so controversial as to say his zombie flicks are better than George Romero's?

I've watched zombie films before but have found them quite creepy. There's just very unnerving about them.
