It's finally happened she has become so obnoxious nad pretentious it borders on meglomania.

She is her own worst enemy she builds and creates this hype and half the time releases nothing more than average pop wearing a funny costume its BTW all over again the album is supposedly out in spring next year whats wrong with going away focusing oin creating something gwnuinely good and coming back to promote nad talk about it when the time is ready.

And Bjork was using Apps and using multimedia technology to create her last album nice to see she is keeping up with trends

Jesus wept... what happened to these things being just solely about the music?

I can't even take her seriously anymore.

Absolutely crazy, but I'm going to be buying the album, er, project anyway if I like the music. And what's all this business about the app? I don't have an iPad and I don't want one as I don't like them, but I have an iPod Touch and it might work on that. Wonder will there be a Mac one as well?

It sounds almost like she's releasing the 2012 version of an early 90s coffee table book to accompany her album.

Someone should get her manager a crowbar to help him get her head out of her own backside

See now I know the 'app' is going to be full of way more pretentious things than the above BUT I would love if the album was released with a crossword book of Gaga related things!

Anywho, I don't know if I'm crazy about this, as soon as I read her message I instantly thought of Bjork and Gaga and comparisons have a very close relationship so that might not go down to well.

Just release an album with some good music and leave all the other crap to someone else. Please?

oh dear, unbelievable. i really hoped she would have just gone back to the music and ditched the crazy pretentious stuff. the inspired by fans through on-line communication makes me laugh a little, because she has had to tell her fans on more than one occasion to call off the campaigns against other singers. surely, that doesn't inspire her?

Just wait and see what's on the app before judging it... it's stupid to berate something you don't even know, even if it is on the principle of a pre-constructed opinion.

Didn't Bjork do the same thing last year?

I don't see the point in the app other than a reason to just announce something.

Twitter, instagram and her website are already available to share photos and content and she has done really well to use these forms to communicate, but now she'll have an app that's just about her, isn't she limiting her reach?

Why create an app which restricts what she's already doing, is she trying to ring fence her craziest fans into the app to save Twitter etc from the truly obsessed?

I agree with previous posters, loved the fame and fame monster, went to London for monster ball etc the whole album/era just worked, we didn't need daily announcements telling us how to accept the albums, how the album was a concept to change the world etc. BTW was a mess of an album with some truly horrific tracks, the stand out tracks are the ones that sound like a progression fron FM like You and I, Hair, Edge of Glory and Judas.

Hopefully she will focus on the music for artpop and the app will be just for the craziest fans to "feel closer to her" Princess Die is a good indication so far, sounds better than 60% of BTW.

What other pop stars besides Jessie J have an app? Will it just be these two then?

An interactive one for the fans to talk to each other and add pictures and videos or just for her tour dates and twitter feed? BTW, Jessie had that long before the little monster site. And i think others had forums before them as well.

Y'all should be thankful. I think this multi media project will become more popular as time goes by and will hopefully lead to a bit of a boost in the music industry.

She didn't claim she was the first to do it, why did no one attack Bjork or other when they done it?
Gagas just moving with the times, the music industry isn't the same anymore, and I think in 10 years time it will look a lot different again.
If I really don't wanna be part of this, don't download the app, its gonna be released physically and digitally aswell so u can listen to her music like that.

Probably more than Bjork did when she did the same deal with Apple.

Not once did she say she it was the first app album (it's not just that as it will be released as a normal CD without all the stuff if you don't like it), which it isn't. The National Mall by Bluebird is. Whilst Bluebird and Bjork have smaller fanbases who will buy it regardless because they're usually older, the market that Gaga aims herself at is one that isn't paying for music and have no qualms about stealing it. Artists and record companies have to find a way of giving people a reason to pay for music. Doing it a la Rihanna and getting a load of predictable writers and producers to create an album for her, isn't going to work for much longer, as evident in the way that her singles are selling loads but her album's aren't. I think the public can sense when artists haven't put any effort into their work, so why should they fork out their own money to fund them?
I would say Gaga is to be commended for taking the concept to the mainstream, just like Billy Joel did when he released the first CD album. In ten years time, all artists will be doing this. Don't understand why people are acting like she's done something awful; if you don't want to be involved in the app side of it, just buy the normal album It's mainly for the type of people who define themselves as Little Monsters anyway.
