I don't watch much ads on ITV but I saw the new Wednesday night line up ad( Corrie/Mr & Mrs/Mrs Biggs) on numerous occasions.Hardly zero promotion

Oh was that this week? Like I said, been away so missed it. Just assumed nothing had been done as that's usually the case when the soaps move.

CSt is back in its rightful home and the viewers are responding. Also it gives ITV the chance to do something else at 8.30 on Thursdays.

That show about dogs with Paul O'Grady dented EE last Monday, it got 4.5m which is way up on the slot average.

EE was back above 7m for the rest of the week, well that we know of, I haven't seen Fridays ratings yet.

When it comes to the soaps the officials are always worth keeping an eye on. EE was the top soap in the BARB officials for w/e 26th Aug after Corrie had won all the overnight slots http://www.barb.co.uk/report/weekly-...-overview?_s=3

to be fair its not the worst idea for the first two weeks after the move, to air something Corrie fans would enjoy, gives you a good excuse to sign post those confused / lost viewers to where the episode now airs.

This is not to say I think that Corrie viewers are lost and confused generally.....

ooh

forget I said that.

Coro St. was the top soap in www.BARB.co.uk officials: 8.59million with ITV1HD.

I think this is just filler, though not very imaginative and it smacks of those pointless CSFA shows about six years ago.,

The Hunted trailer after Doctor Who looked new, I think it'll be coming pretty soon maybe taking Good Cop's slot which would mean it starting on September 27th. If Last Tango in Halifax takes Tuesday at 9pm, that would put Ripper Street on Mondays when New Tricks finishes.

X Factor back on form tonight I think - flowing better, some good talent and is actually quite funny.

Do we know what ratings the Last Night off the proms usually pulls? I presume it is quite low.

I thought the HD ratings were automatically included? I know BBC1's are.

Still the difference is negligible and I guess cancelled out when you look at overall reach across all platforms which always sees EE come out on top.

It was just surprising to me that two eps of EE were over 8m in the BARB officials yet the overnights were as low as 7m for those episodes. EE does tend to timeshift well.

I think ITV should include the HD figures it makes them look better overall!

It got an official rating off 4.46m. So that's not to bad. I'm leaving now to go and watch it.

Click? Current Affairs? I'd classify it as a technology show or even a consumer show, but not current affairs.

I think it was posted here that ITV1 HD is reported separately for advertising reasons (there are only a few HD regions) but I don't know why BARB can't bundle the two together for the general public. ITV and the advertisers can get the data sliced and diced however they like behind the scenes.

EDIT: So BBC1 averaged about 4.4m from 8-10pm and depending on how Cash Britain did almost certainly beat the England match head-to-head overall. The Mrs Brown's Boys repeat was up another ~250k after the 400k rise last week, and will surely have defeated what would have been largely post-match analysis from 21:30.

Miranda also up a touch, IWTF down a bit. Poor for EE.”

Mrs Browns Boys is the jewel in the BBC comedy crown, not surprised at it gaining a well deserved 4.7 million, EE is all over the place in terms of viewers so what is their excuse for poor numbers and I'm not buying the England match opposition excuse as it was a poor rating also.

I was going to air an opinion I have about BARB concerning erratic ratings for all channels but not sure how it would be received.

I did think that too when I posted it, but I guess it is current affairs in a sense, albeit quite narrow, being news on developments in consumer technology. It's how you classify these things I suppose. It's not really a science show, and technology would be too narrow as there are too few programmes about that. I'll check how they classify Watchdog.

Cowell's been hard at work in the editing suite, bless him. At least it hasn't been for nothing.

Tomorrow will represent a major test for the show, and is one to watch carefully. The Paralympic Games will certainly not bow out quietly with a lineup for the closer far more appealing to a mainstream audience than anything the drawn-out midweek opener could muster. C4 look set for more blockbuster headline-grabbing ratings, and ITV could be left licking their wounds.

I think for this X Factor the timing of the unveiling of their trump card (the return of the nation's sweetheart Cheryl 'Biffa' Cole) will be crucial. They really need that to go off with a bang, and maybe just maybe the talent on display will hook viewers in from there.

Click rates well for what it is. Difficult one to categorise but as far as the BBC News channel is concerned it is mere filler for slow news days !

Yes I wonder if the usual editor feels undermined to any degree lol

If the show thread is anything to go by it would be one of the smallest audiences I would imagine-only 558 so far.

For me (talent wise) by far the poorest episode of the XFactor to date ... one can wish that this will be represented in viewing figures, but I doubt it!! I do feel that the only saving grace at the moment is Mel B ... when she's gone ... surly the viewers will too ... SCD however looks promising.

Great news for Sky/Eurosport regarding Murray. Something else to factor into the equation tomorrow night.
