How much longer is it until ROB is put out of its misery? The show, while not a complete disaster, has continued to underperform very badly and seems stuck around 3.5 million.

BBC One just promoted Hunted as airing on 4th October. On the face of it, that's expected but The Good Cop's cancellation tonight means they have some juggling to do. Crimewatch is due to air next week; that could be moved for The Good Cop but will need to be rescheduled.

Monday has New Tricks, they launch The Paradise on Tuesday, Who Do You Think You Are? takes the Wednesday slot and In With the Flynns continues on Friday. It maybe worth them holding up History of the World on Sunday and airing Crimewatch opposite Downton Abbey...whether they could get Crimewatch to air that quickly is another thing altogether.

Good Cop, if rescheduled, will likely get a 10.35pm slot. It's not a high rating show so rejuggling an entire schedule just for a show that has frankly under performed will not be a priority for them.

Red Or Black is a Simon Cowell vanity project and it's only returned due to Simon being powerful at ITV. They should have told him no. Sing If You Can would probably done just as well but also much cheaper. Surprised they didn't bring it back.

I doubt Crimewatch would be moved. As a live show with booked guests including police officers and victims, it would be too much hassle. Also there could be the time factor with some recent crimes.

Unfortunately Broadcast has not updated so it looks like it will be tomorrow. My trial ends tonight but I'll try to use the Google workaround tomorrow, or ask a subscriber such as Steve Williams.

Possibly due to ratings. It started with over 5 million then dropped to 3m and stayed around that.

10.35pm makes sense; I think they should reschedule it somewhere.

This looks like a quality production and it should get decent ratings I reckon. On Thursday 4 October at 11pm, Channel 5 is airing a Jack the Ripper documentary, first shown on the Crime & Investigation Network.

Still above the slot average, and probably C5's highest rating for a few days. If it can keep at this level, then by C5 standards its performing acceptably at 9pm

And you can't show a programme five days earlier than billed! You don't even show them five minutes early. It's bad manners. And Crimewatch on a Sunday would be ridiculous.

It was probably a bigger deal (at least as big a deal) for ITV Studios than it was for Syco - a massive project and finally getting a high profile co-production with a company they hoped might be able to help in international sales. For all Cowell's supposed power, Gary Barlow is still on X Factor and ITV managed to go over 4 years without putting any new shows from Syco on the air (and that was through the peaks of BGT and XF). ITV Studios on the other hand can get just about any guff on the air and ITV plc are desperately trying to push up their output year on year (and they're willing to poach senior execs from Syco to achieve that). 90% chance that the replacement for ROB is an ITVS production to keep their numbers up.

If they wanted to cancel it they would have. But ITV themselves had put too much into it both on the commissioning side and particularly ITV Studios. Throw in Cowell and Ant & Dec and the fact that it was, depressingly, their highest rated new entertainment series in ages and that's why it came back.

Sing if you Can was widely regarded as a flop and is often mentioned in "Keith Lemon" discussions. But a bit like Red or Black, it looks incredibly strong in the context of other entertainment series launched on ITV in the past few years.

Fair point - sometimes I shouldn't think out loud. Arguably The Good Cop could take the Sunday slot with Andrew Marr's show being held back a week but I think it will probably be given a 10.35pm slot as stated earlier.

About the only one as, if it was a cheap show to produce, it would have been guaranteed a few more years, but as it is expensive and hasn't delivered, ROB should go at the end of its run.

If Good Cop was getting huge ratings, the BBC would schedule it hastily, possibly putting it on Wednesday at 9pm instead of WDYTYA. WDYTYA is possibly the only programme in next weeks busy schedule that is disposable. But, Good Cop isn't getting big ratings so there isn't a high priority to postpone potentially successful shows just to accommodate a moderately rated series, even if it is the last episode.

Next Thursday at 10.35pm could be an option with Russell Brand programme rescheduled.

Not a great number for X Factor US, up in a second week is generally good but Survivor should have been less competition than The Voice so I was thinking more like 3.7 or maybe 3.8 would be a good rating. I suppose if it gets an extra 0.1 in finals then it's close enough but I do think every tenth counts for it just now. Also worth mentioning that Survivor has demonstrated remarkable staying power and a 3.1 isn't a bad start at all for it.

There was certainly a big bump at 9pm for X Factor - from a 3.2 at 8.30pm to a 3.9 at 9pm (although that's not uncommon due to higher viewing at 9pm). The 9pm hour averaged a good 4.0 (8pm-9pm was a 3.1). Problem is that hour could be in for a rough ride next week. I think Suburgatory will be a far better companion for Modern Family making ABC stronger. And SVU will more than double what Harry's Law was doing last year.

Looks really good, as long as it isn't scheduled badly it surely can't be anything other than a hit. I assume the 50m running time shown at the end is just for the version sold internationally.

Does anyone know if Shetland is 2x 60m or 90m? Because if Ripper Street was to air Sunday and Monday it won't be able to start until the 18th after Downton/History of the World, leaving two Monday 9pm slots free between then and New Tricks finishing, which could be filled with Shetland.
