Arrogant Dan
I can't stand the way he shouts at the camera in the diary room. He is so full of himself. Frank to win BB14

All of their DRs are nothing more than improvised acting.

I've kind of lost interest in The Dan Show now.
His bellowing voice was doing my head in, but now he's the sole veteran things are obviously going to centre around him. So I'd rather check out now and then revisit it at a later date. ![]() Frank leaving certainly isn't good either, it's especially hard to pick a winner out of this lot. |

His constant "this is for my wife and kid" line bugs me. I can't imagine his family need the money, considering he's already won once.
If he's blown it, tough. |

It's almost a Boston Rob in Redemption Island situation with Dan at the moment, there is no doubt that he is playing well right now and based on that alone he deserves to win more then anyone else, but for the sake of keeping the game interesting and exciting him leaving would be for the best.
It shows how well Dan is playing though that nobody has clicked onto him as of yet, he has Ian and Danielle bending over backwards for him, he has Danielle turning against Shane and he has Jen believing that she is part of a final 3 deal. The only person who seems to have clicked onto Dan is Joe, and with Joe's track record in competitions there is little chance of Joe utilising that information (watch him win HOH tonight with my luck.) |

If he's blown it, tough. And he never said he "needed" money, but it would still be nice to bring that home to your family, and so that's what he is doing it for. Although even above that I think Dan just really wants the title of first ever two-time Big Brother winner. |

I already mentioned his arrogance in a thread I think, and yeh his DRs give me a headache. Joe shouts as well but at least it's like he's enacting some kind of character, Dan is just enacting his ego.
But the ego of the producers is at work as well. They are making the HLs all about Dan, making out all the other HGs are idiots. Even insisting in the last episode that Frank was seriously considering throwing the veto, not going to convince me there lol. |

I never liked Dan from BB10 and still wasn't a fan of him this time round so the fact that they are setting him up for another win on the CBS shows doesn't go down well with me. We need a newbie win in either Ian/Frank/Shane but Grodner will do her best to push Dan as far as possible now he has a character to play in the house

I generally hate the HG's who have the reputation as 'nice guy'.
Although Dan is getting a lot more evil this time which makes him far more interesting to me than in BB10.

The other housemates are idiots. We don't need an edit to show us that.
![]() Is it all coincidence? Or purposely bad casting or editing? ![]() Either way it's getting rather tiresome. |

Thing is, whenever returning players are involved in these type of shows the newbies are always idiots, or just seem totally boring and are therefore ignored.
Is it all coincidence? Or purposely bad casting or editing? ![]() Either way it's getting rather tiresome. I've always thought that in each season they only cast maybe two or three generally smart players who understand strategy. The rest are either straight up morons, people who don't know the show very well, and people that think you just need to win competitions. Just look back at each season and count how many were actually smart players. |

No, there are idiots every year.

Just look back at each season and count how many were actually smart players. I guess I'm just not a fan of witnessing the same old players coming back again, time to give other people a chance. I actually liked Dan in BB10, and liked him up until a couple of weeks ago. Since then though, I can't even bear to hear his voice lol |

I'd rather just have all new players I agree on that point.
I wish they never would have had the returning duos last year, and instead had All Stars 2 this year and they could have had (Jeff, Jordan, Rachel, Brendon, Dick, Daniele, Dan, Britney, and 6/8 other post-All Stars players)...then at least it would have been all returning players and it would have been exciting to watch. Mixing returning players and newbies has watered down any effect a future All Stars would have, so much so that I don't want to see returning players for a long while. |

I hate this argument. Its so disrespectful to players who have played a great game to say they they only looked good because everyone else was so bad.
The standard of newbies is pretty much the same every year. Its just the truly great players show up how bad some of the newbies really are. The returning players always look great, while the newbies tend to look like idiots or bores. Even though Dan's the only returning player left in the game, he's depicted as dominating everything and the likely winner. It was quite refreshing having Frank, who was a newbie that the show seemed quite happy to promote as a deserving winner even though he was up against returnees (which is a very very very very rare thing ). And now he's gone, so that's the end of that I guess. lol
