September / October 2012 - the music industry finally comes back to life
ray.ray.returns

Just been checking out some upcoming songs, and there are some fantastic songs coming out from new artists, and there are equally as many songs from artists making comebacks too!

First up No Doubt have risen from their musical graves
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pb_zZ3xItPI
and its follow up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH5bmqrCxWw

Next Calvin Harris and Florence collaborate and its a pretty good effort! It almost makes me want to forgive her for killing "Halo" a few years ago.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuKc-dBrDAc

A fresh new song enters the hip hop genre and its actually very good, a throw back to when hip hop was actually good. Here is "Built For This" (the man with the iron fists) by Method Man, Streetlife and Freddie Gibbs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...v=QQ5cZc_tl8s#!

Enrique Iglesias - Finally Found You feat. Sammy Adams is a dance song with Enrique's sexy vocals. Its catchy and I hope it does well
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=IeXrrP9JXLQ

Pet Shop Boys - another comeback - less said about this one the better though! Its great they are still making music, but someone should tell them their golden era has passed and its time to try out a new direction
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=zh1AAm2B32g

Lupe Fiasco & Guy Sebastian - Battle Scars - A brilliant male vocalist teams up with a "rent a rapper" type. This collaboration is actually very good through, a throwback to the glory days of Eminem.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...v=_mPd_SDAryQ#!

Rita Ora - Radioactive (Deluxe Version)
I can see this being a future dancefloor hit. I've overlooked Rita before but this could grab my attention.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...v=ANcWjDYCglk#!

Neon Hitch ft. Tyga - "Gold"
Its quite good. Nothing too original, but shes defenetly trying. Bjork meets Britney Spears.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...v=IbPX39k_-Vo#!

OneRepublic - Feel Again - I thought this would be a cheesy ballad - God was I wrong. It hooks you right in!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...v=2tMKO_9SD1Y#!

Alanis Morrisette - Guardian
Welcome back Alanis. Your still floating around the charts and your new album is very good. Please, don't leave it so long next time
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCBIG28On0o

Mel C and Emma Bunton - I knew him so well
Spice Fever is about to grip the nation again too! Melanie C is without a doubt our answer to Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and 90's Mariah Carey. Together with Emma this duet will have you in tears. Really looking forward to Mel's upcoming album too

The majority of those singles releases are what is wrong with the music industry to be honest so i don't see how it is coming back to life but it's all down to opinion.

You forgot ZZ Top and KISS

I hope the music scene does improve in September or October. While slightly more songs have been listenable recently, I like nothing this year yet as much as my 4 fave songs from last year nor my 40 fave songs from the last decade. So we need something special soon!

Lupe Fiasco is NOT a "rent-a-rapper" type...

Also, chart music has been okay this year. 2009 and 2011 were much worse than this (as in they were really boring with not much notable happening). It's slowly improving now.

I personally thought Florence sung it much better. Each to their own, I guess.
