Hi all,

I have just noticed that Morrisons have got boneless shoulder of pork on offer until Sunday. The original price was £4 per kg but the offer price is £1.50 per kg. I know that some people prefer to support their local butcher, but imho I have found the quality of meat at my local Morrisons to be equally as good as my local butcher.

If you have a morrisons near you & fancy a cheap pork joint for Sunday roast, then get down there & get some. I am going to grab a couple of them & stick them in the freezer to use at a later date.

I popped in yesterday and the butcher said they'd sold out and didn't know if they would get any in today because they've been shifting them so quickly.

On the off chance I asked if my dad would pop in as he was going past this morning. I said if they had them then pick on up. Just a smallish one for two or three people.

Anyway, he bagged a monster!
1.835kg for £2.75

Pulled pork galore for the footy on Tuesday and i'm guessing enough for burritos later in the week.

Hmmm, the sausage idea is a good one. £1.50 a kilo is silly-cheap... right off to Morrisons tomorrow.

Cant compare the meat to what you would buy in a real butchers, but did get a nice sized joint for £1.80.
