You can always import it? If amazon.com don't allow UK orders then I'm sure someone will be selling them on ebay.
So probably be more of a paperweight

I read the access to media content and LoveFilm compability as being one and the same. Especially on Jeff Bezos' letter on the Amazon homepage:
It doesn't read to me like we will be getting TV shows and movies from Amazon.co.uk. The content seems to be staying with LoveFilm as a separate subscription service. Which probably means we won't be getting digital content included with Amazon Prime membership like in the US, which is a shame. |

Possibly, but whether you could link it to your Amazon uk account would be the question, as I dont think you could do that with imported fires.

I don't think my UK kindle gives me the choice of store to connect to. |

Tempted if Android. Kindle (not fire) is not android at all. |

Well that's a deal braker for me. I've already got an Android Tablet, so am only interested in the fire if it allows access to digital content. Will have to wait and see if it's clarified before the 25th of October.

U.K. Fire's won't have any Amazon Prime membership benefits. Amazon Instant Video, for example, will be swapped for a one month trial subscription with LoveFilm.

Wont it then be connected to the US Kindle Store?
I don't think my UK kindle gives me the choice of store to connect to. I will be ordering the PaperWhite via eBay. It seems as usual Amazon don't give a hoot about the UK. There are already people selling it on eBay. |
