Hi guys,
I've had my iPod classic (80GB) since Summer 2008 without a problem. All of a sudden it suddenly won't switch off? So the battery will run it's self down to nothing and then once I charge it up, it won't go off? It keeps displaying the charging option in the corner too.
I've tried resetting it the manual way and also doing the reboot via iTunes but no avail ... does anybody have any tips?
As it's 4 years old have I missed out on any Apple guarantees? The furthest I can get them to go back is 2009 online ... what happened to a long investment? Technology that is so highly priced such as iPod's should surely have a longer life ... If it is broken and I have to buy a new one it's a horrible cycle as I'll be forced to get an iPod rather than an MP3 player as so much of my music is on iTunes.
