Kindle Touch 3G
Hi,
I am considering getting a kindle for my mum for christmas. I thought a 3G one would be best so that she can get books where ever she is, rather than waiting until a WiFi connection is available. On the amazon.co.uk website, the only 3G version is the one with the keyboard, but I think one without would be better. The amazon touch 3G seems to be available on the US website but not the UK website. However, there are some available at Argos. Have the kindle touch 3G' been discontinued in the UK, should I consider getting one from Argos, or would I be making a mistake? |

Funny, did not know that. Perhaps demand was low. You can't do much with 3G on a Touch apart from downloading books, which is its main purpose anyway. But tell that to people. The keyboard one isn't bad at all either. But it's now old and very likely there will be no firmware upgrades anymore. I do not know how it is with a product support when you do not buy directly from Amazon if they take over that, too. I know Amazon are most helpful and quick when something goes wrong.

All 5 Kindles seem to be available, although the Kindle Fire doesn't become available until October
