Help... backup corrupted!?

I recently sold my xbox but before I did, I transferred content to USB.
I'm trying to transfer content back to my son's Xbox now but it says it needs to configure the USB again!?

How do I access all my stuff?

Thanks

Bit awkward on a 6mb internet connection and you have over 30GB

Never mind I couldn't do anything so will just leave it. I'll just have to download something as and when I need it.

Bit of a useless feature if you ask me though, why have a transfer facility if it doesn't work!? Wasted nearly two hours waiting for it to transfer only to be told I need to format the drive again and lose everything lol. Hate how closed the Xbox is! Never mind...

Just re-download a little at a time. I have over 90GB worth of stuff and I used a transfer cable and half the stuff didn't transfer and became corrupt so I did a little each time until I got it all back on my hdd. I ended up having to re-download around 50 arcade games and lots of dlc.

Apart from the game saves probably being lost. You are probably better to transfer the Digital Rights on the Xbox web site that way the console will not have to be online to allow you use downloaded content.

When I changed to the slim I just copied the game saves to a USB stick the re downloaded everything after transferring the DRM.
