As you all know, You Bring Me Joy is released on Sunday.

How do you think it will do in the charts?

I think it'll do quite well. It's easily the best debut single by a solo X Factor contestant. Not gimmicky, not MOR cheese, just good quality contemporary pop.

Its amazing at number 5 on irish charts :P

I doubt it will be number 1, probably peak between 6 - 10

Absolutely agree, although i'd personally put it a smidge behind "Bleeding Love". But both of them together are far and away better than anything i've heard come out of the X-Factor "camp" since it started.

The song is growing on me now. I didn't like it when I first heard it, but now I've heard the HQ version it's actually quite good.

If it charts well this week then I think its down to her PR team (plugging her like crazy) and not due to how "amazing" the song is!....(Cos its not amazing)

Im sick of record companies giving people crap songs and predicting it'll chart well just because an act came from The X Factor.

To be fair the song doesn't deserve to chart top 40 at all!!!!
But Amelia Lily does deserve to chart!! ... In other words give her a better song next time around and dont risk here career!!!

I'd love to know where she's been seen then because the only time i've seen her being "plugged" (ooeerrr....) is the generic "Chart Show TV Chat With .." program with that god awful woman who "interviews" the stars.

But hey, I respect the fact you don't like the song .. maybe that obscure indie group you do like will chart as well ?

Spoiler
I'm just teasing

#24 now. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it's doing, I don't think Tulisa has even broken the top 200 yet. I just hope Amelia's sales aren't too front loaded.

i think that might be the case to be honest. someone mentioned that she got into the top 5 in ireland a couple of days ago and now its out of the top 20 there.

Just as long as we get the album I'll be happy. It would make up for Mini Viva's album being scrapped.

I can't comment because I haven't heard the song and I listen to radio one a great deal. Is it playlisted?

It's playlisted on capital but they haven't been hammering the song to death like they do with jessie j and pixie lott, I expect they will do so this week.

Who's it by?

I'll assume it wont do that well if I don't know about it.
It may chart but then fall like a pile of bricks.

#15 atm. I hope it gets a high position. Not because I like the song but because I like her.

I would dispute contemporary - it sounds quite dated in my opinion.

And for me the best X Factor début single will always be Aiden Grimshaw's.

I think it's started off climbing quick on the singles chart because there doesn't seem to be an EP?

#6 now- I note that Radio 1 haven't playlisted this, whih makes it all the more impressive it is doing this well.
