BB Data Plans, What's Included With Different Providers?
Hey folks,
I've been grappling with this questions for a while now, so I thought I'd come right to the master class and hopefully get a definitive answer. ![]() I'm currently on Orange PAYG BB data plan, but the Orange signal around here is not good enough for me so I'm switching to Tesco Mobile who use O2's signal which is great. I have tried Orange's UMA thing but I find it useless. With the Orange BB data plan I believe I get web browsing, push email and the use of SOME apps like social networking. For example, if I use Facebook or Twitter, those are included in the plan and I don't get charged. But if I use other, third party apps, I get charged and my recent usage shows a deduction in my credit for "ap-prepaidsession". Tesco's BB bundle says I will get "Blackberry 1Gb + Blackberry Services" and "Anywhere in the UK plus unlimited Blackberry services." http://phone-shop.tesco.com/tesco-mo...itetariff.aspx So what is included in the "Blackberry Services"? Can I do whatever I want, using any apps, up to the 1Gb limit? Or are there only certain things included and I'll be charged for going outside my plan? I have emailed Tesco about it, but their reply was as useless and vague as I expected. Any info you guys could give would be great. Thank you kindly. |
