Homechoice - Picture Quality

hi, i don't know much about homechoice but can i ask a few questions please

1. Is the picture quality since its through broadband any good and is it better quality if you opt for 2mb broadband instead of 1mb??

2. What channels do you get with homechoice

3. Is it or will it ever be available in northern ireland?

thanks

If you search the forum you'll find the answers you're looking for, but essentially...

- Picture quality is not that different from Freeview, ie it's perfectly good most of the time on the main channels (with the odd exception, eg the UKTV channels are too pixellated at the moment).

- It doesn't matter what your broadband speed is, the TV service uses a separate fixed 2.5Mb (?) bandwidth.

- The channels are all listed on www.homechoice.co.uk

- There are plans to expand the network eventually (major cities first I guess), but don't hold your breath.

(that's my good deed for the day done )

thank you

it couldn't be as bad as im thinking being 2.5MB because ABC1 on freeview is about 1.5mb (its higher now though because of bandwidth increase)

If you had in your might that it might be like the usual 'broadband' streaming video kinda quality, then it's far superior to that.

Odd, any footy on the ITV channels is usually decent quality (can get a bit messy on BBC at times though!)
