It'll never make any sense to me. Johnny and Marc always gave 100%, never caused any trouble in their personal lives that reflected badly on the show, their characters were popular, the couple even more so and, most of all, they were both really talented.

All this!! and the BIB is the biggest travesty/crime of them all. They wasted so much great potential! EE love tragedy and mise-ree and strangely their biggest tragedy (for me) is what they failed to do rather then what they did do and that's failing to write properly for Chryed in 2011 and most part of 2012. No other storyline they have ever produced has made me cry this much or made me angry/ miserable then acknowledging this fact.

Just flying in to say of course we remember you. And what a re-entrance! Congratulations on the new thread and being a threadstarter.

I guess, we'll perhaps never know. But there is (and was) one heck of mess for EE to sort out:

When you've got a show in your hands where the EP (BK) and Series Producer and a couple (or more) of writers (e.g. Daran Little) were let go and a new EP appointed...

... when you've got a few cast members deciding to take a break from it (Patsy, Lindsey, Charlie, Jo, June Brown, Jessie) or leave altogether (Sid, Laurie, Barbara Windsor, Sam Janus, Meryl, that Footballer's Wives actress (Vanessa) + her kid, the actor playing Darren, Lacey, the actor playing Ryan, Daddy Moon (I forget his name), the long-term cast member who played Pat, I forget her name as well - not mention the fact that she didn't want to be killed off but wanted the option to come back. All she wanted was a break) ...

... when you've got new castings by the former EP for his own s/ls and to fill in the gaps left by the old cast members (Joey/Derek/Alice Branning, Cora Cross, Poppy Meadows, NuLucy, NuLauren, NuBen, Cora's daugther, Kat/Alfie/Michael/Tyler/Anthony/Dad/forgotten kid Moon, Sheneice and chavvy mum, Ray and his kid (definitely forget who she is), Titney, Afia, Andrew/Andrew's mum) or returning ones (Jessie) or axed ones (Heather)...

... when you've Scott and Rita sounding happy about a change at the top, suggesting they weren't too happy with the way things were and are aware that things weren't going in the right directions...

... when you have a s/l prematurely brought to an end (Baby swap) and a character and s/l extended and appallingly written (Yusef/Yusef s/l) ...

truly and realistically, what chance and room did Christian and Syed ever have for their own s/ls and characters to be explored and developed properly, better and deeper? What time, room and opportunity did the EP (BK), Series Producer, Writers etc ever have to do this for a complex couple as they? And yet Christian and Syed get blamed for being "boring".

The last decent s/l Marc and Johhny had really was 2009/Summer 2010. Six months of nothing; one year (2011/Jan 2012) of whatever that was, which was in parts a mini repeat spin-cycle/worst version of 2009/2010 played out all over again (apart from the bed/proposal scene that made the year stand out for them a little). And yet that's 2 years of an actors' career gone (2010/2012), while EE makes way for other things. By the time Lorraine came on board, Marc had had enough and wanted to explore new horizons and do something else that he cared for and loved. Johnny followed as well.

The interesting thing is that it was so early in year 2012 when Marc decided to move on. After all given the above, maybe it was a case of new year, fresh start, I guess. Who knows?

Been off the tread while I focussed on my studies - then the endless balck-holes and bad story-lines got me down a bit so I ducked out. But I think I'll try to post a bit again just for the last few months of onscreen Chryed! ....oh that sounds .

Hello! How are we all?

I've heard the news. Sad, very sad. My heart broke when I read it (seriously, it started to actually ache :sleep. Just glad that Johnny decided to go as well, because that that means they will leave together, and with the date of the CP coming soon, I think I know how they'll go too... Lovely to see old posters coming back, names that I recognize too, but I'm still waiting to see Mercs, Cookie, Tipsy and her sister (sorry babe, can't remember your name! I have a very bad memory, so don't take it personally ), and obviously, Queen Maria. I've not cried yet, but I think that on the final episode, I will, even if Julia's theme isn't played. I do have a few requests though TPTB (I know you're luking!):
[LIST][*]Bring back Jane, Shabnam, and Linda[*]Have the wedding go with NO hitches[*]Have Awesome Lawson write the wedding and the last ep (try and convince Darren to come back for those two as well!!)[*]Lastly, and most importantly, give Chryed the happily ever after they deserve!!!!!! Hey guys, it's been awhile since I've posted on here but I just wanted to post about how much Chryed have come to mean to me over the last few years. The original story of 2 mean falling in love against the odds, was amazing to watch. Marc & Johnny's performances as the couple who were truly meant to be have been simply beautiful. Their chemistry has been a joy to watch and I will miss them both dearly.
It is bittersweet news, on one hand I am so glad they're leaving at the same time (Chryed have to get a happily ever after, my mind can't even process the alternative) but I also feel very sad and angry at the way tptb have treated them in the past 2 years, interminable blackholes, poorly executed storylines and fleeting scenes. If i am really honest all the wasted opportunities have always frustrated me but now their actually leaving its makes it all the more poignant and that breaks my Chryedian heart. I remember when Marc gave the nicest ever acceptance speech for best newcomer in 2010, he said he couldn't wait to see what was coming up next for Syed and he was really excited. I also remember BK saying the first episodes he watched as EP was the reveal and aftermath, he saw those amazing performances and yet he chose to waste 2 very talented actors who share THAT chemistry.I'll never understand how all the people at Eastenders could allow this to happen. Even LN acknowledging their popularity yesterday, I found ironic given how they've been treated. I have huge respect for Marc and Johnny for deciding to leave, I am sure at times as actors it has been soul destroying been given little or nothing worthy of their talents to do. I wish them huge success in the future and will always love them for making Chryed the couple they are. I am preparing myself for an emotional rollercoaster over the next few months and I hope Chryed's final months on the square will be well written and give the boys the chance to shine like only they can.

P.S I will always smile and think of Chryed when I have a hot chocolate with squirty cream or a custard cream. Viva Chryed !

P.S I can't believe it's a year today since the first red button specials, now that's the kind of dialogue and screentime they should've got on the main programme.

Suspect it too late for requests by now - most of it will be written if not filmed by now, but yes please to ALL of the above, add DTC coming back with Darren too...
