surreal, your list of memories is fab.
So many hours spent on here! No regrets from me though - and that includes foregoing holiday plans so I could be around for DC week. I felt like and let's face it, was the biggest saddo ever at the time, but it was worth it. Chryed have been worth it. My best personal memory (ie recollection of undiluted joy) has to be finding out that the Icelandic volcano had closed Edinburgh airport, wrecking my work trip and meaning that I was able to watch the Reveal and - more importantly - Perfect Moment with the thread. Good times. Anyway, on to the here and now. I was feeling all optimistic yesterday after seeing JP's tweet, but am now back to channelling ardchoile/Eeyore and seeing the gloomy side in everything. Someone has posted the following comment on the DS article: "Inside information just been received and if it's true it's gonna be an absolute cracker!!!" No guarantee this is based on real info of course, but "absolute cracker" doesn't sound like the description the average EE viewer would give to a beautiful CP followed by sunset ending. "Absolute cracker" + "explosive exit" + the supposed car crash-becomes-fireball filming next week in Bristol (ok, possibly totally unrelated but the timing fits) + JP's "It is the right end to the story and for Christian"......Yes, they're clearly leaving together, but other than #vivachryed the little evidence we have actually points to a tragic ending rather than a happy one. How devastating and how very EE would it be to have Chryed get their CP and then literally have a "til death us do part" ending in the same week/ episode - possibly with Christian dying in a desperate, Superman-esque but ultimately vain attempt to rescue the love of his life. From a short-term draamatic perspective, and as an angst whore, I have to say I think a tragic ending would make much better telly than a CP, lottery win and move to that dream home on Miami beach. However as someone who loves Chryed and would like to be able to read the occasional fic, or at least imagine them living their perfectly imperfect happily ever in a place where the poisoned pens of the EE storyliners can't touch them: Ack. So, regarding the whole post: *says calmly* What? If they aren't or one isn't alive I will be devastated and I won't be able to watch (like I couldn't watch Dennis die). I hope they don't do that, it won't make the fans happy, only the haters and don't carers....hoping this doesn't happen, but I agree, it's very EE .

Oh I really hope one of them doesn't die.
I mean it would be preferable to them splitting permanently or falling out of love and I know EE is all about the drama but if anyone ever deserved a happy ending, it's Chryed. I love angst but one dying, please no I want Chryed to leave together and happy!I just hope beyond anything that real care is put into their last story. Proper dialogue and depth are desperately needed. |

Has it been confirmed there will be a CP?
With such little time and Danny i am not convinced that will happen. With EE you normally go out with a bang so one of them dying to save the life of the other would fit that bill. Look at Bradley's ending . Dennis's ending. All very well loved couple's and they still ended up 6 feet under.

Kalfie left happy...
![]() I am torn as i want a massive exit and tragedy means you are remembered way after you are gone BUT - its Chryed so i also want a happy ending as they deserve it. |

Forgot to ask - DO PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW THE SPOILERS? I think I'd rather be surprised. Some advanced consensus/agreement might be a good idea?
Is it feasible to remain spoiler free, short of cutting off internet access and not venturing down the magazine aisle of the supermarket for the next two months? |

Just seen that Gary Lucy's now on holiday so Danny can't be involved in the last couple of weeks of the story. Suppose it's one good thing?

I honestly wouldn't put it past EE to do this. Either Chryed leave happily together or they die in a proper Romeo & Romeo ending. Only two outcomes really. If there is an EE car crash being filmed next week, we'll soon find out who it involves as there are bound to be pap pics from it. |

![]() I think there will be confrontation with Danny but it wont result in death for either of them. But there will be a clear threat of danger for one of them. |

I don't want one of them to die
I want to be able to imagine them out there somewhere, living their lives together happily and having lots of sex![]() Plus it will so much easier to move on and be happy and glad for what we've had if there is a positive ending. I mean, I'll probably be an emotional wreck anyway, but if one of them were to die...

![]() ![]() So he could of finished filming but we dont know where his scenes slot in. |

I can't see the producers killing Christian or Syed - or both - not only would it devastate fans but it would devastate Masood and Zainab.. I know they killed Dennis but he was the kind of character you'd expect to die young, Chryed are Chryed and the producers wouldn't stick two fingers up to fans.

As i said Bradley dying was a kick in the teeth for a lot of fans. Jamie dying years and years ago would of upset millions of his teenage fans. EE is all about the ratings at the end of the day. If they cared about the fans then we would not of had basically two years of nothing., ETA - Also Jack and Ronnie fans - totally destroyed them as a couple ! |

Evening all and much love and hugs and stuff like that
![]() Big congrats on new part and to grenniespex on OP. I don't know if we've met or said Hi, but it somehow feels fitting that an old time poster got OP on this particular part. Huge hugs to Lyra and anyone else whose emotions are starting to catch up with them today Also want to say that it feels very, very good to see a few more long lost faces here again, thank you all so much for posting even if I can't mention everyone's name. I don't really know how I feel now. Intellectually I'm totally fine with it all and can say that it's the right time for them to go and all that jazz. And that is true, I still feel that (even if I will keep thinking about what could have been and what should have been and how much more they deserved). But emotionally, it's a whole other story. It keeps hitting me in waves that it's actually going to end. I mean, end for real, and I have always had trouble coping with things ending. It's not even the story itself I'm thinking most about, that will always be there even if it will feel very different watching it knowing that there wont be any more s/ls. But I think I can be sort of OK with that, in time. But then I think of all the other things that will come to an end as well, and that just GETS me if you know what I mean. This place and everything discussed and everyone involved here, FF and the fics, it has all meant so incredibly much to me, and so many of the people here has meant so much to me even if I've only been here a short while, and now... It wont ever be the same again. /Sorry all for waffling on, getting all emotional on you ![]() That said, I am looking forward to Marc and Johnny having the opportunity to shine once more, which I hope and believe they will (although I can't really deal with the feeling that they literally had to leave to get a proper (we hope) s/l). I was pretty sure about a happy ending yesterday, but now I see spec. again. Don't know what I really think, I can't really figure out the reasoning for TPTB either way and what would be more likely. I call myself an out and proud angst-whore, and I still consider myself one, but there are some things I don't know if I'd be able to cope with no matter how great TV it was. Sorry again for babbling on so much, guess I jsut had to pour it out somewhere. Ignore, I seem to be all over the place today. |

That's true about Bradley and Jamie but one hope I have is that both Bradley and Jamie were leaving but their other half's were not. Stacey left much later but I'm clinging onto that fact. Bradley and Jamie had to die as it would be unrealistic that Bradley/Stacey and Jamie/Sonia would split up. With Chryed, it's been said that Marc quit and after discussions everyone felt Christian should go to. I suppose they could still kill one or both off but it would be the most pointless soap death ever
/clings on to hope ![]() ( just kidding)ETA- It is fun being back on here and speculating once again ![]() ![]() ![]()
