Has any artist in the West experienced a "Black Ocean" whilst performing?

Ok, so I'm a big K-pop fan.
And there is this awful thing some anti-fans do called a "Black Ocean", which is when the crowd at a performance just stand still and motionless, not cheering, not reacting, just with blank faces, showing no support whatsoever to the artist/group.
Its quite mean and I can only imagine it'll make the artist feel terrible.
But I was wondering if this has ever happened in the music industry in the West?

Anti-fans in the West tend to BOO the acts, not staying silent.

Girls' Generation had one, didn't they, and I heard T-ARA just got one too

Yes, thats what got me wondering, I just read about the T-ara one so was curious to see if anyone did that in the West, but I guess they just boo.

Im not being racist but we're a lot more civilized in the west...

We just chuck our piss at them instead.
