Surely no one could be taken in after her dire vocals at the beginning of the show. She should duet with Tulisas both are as woeful as each other. It's laughable to think these two have been judging others.
I agree she should use her only asset and become a model as she's so boring in interviews too.

As I understand it - She sang a bit of CMN at the beginning of the show which was clearly live because it didn't sound so good. (I did watch that bit, and she did sound awful. She was standing still without dancing and sounded really weak, scratchy and out of breath)
Then later when she sang Under the Sun, people felt she was miming because she sounded different and apparently a lot better (possibly they were pre-recorded 'live-sounding' vocals?).
^^ I didn't watch that bit so can't really comment
but if there was a dance routine and she sounded flawless then I'm guessing it was mimed 
because genuinely, she was struggling during CMN and she only sang a bit of the chorus, it wasn't even the whole song.

It WAS awful, and I think she spoiled it by saying "how d'ya" instead of "how'd you", making it three syllables instead of two and ultimately making it sound like she was trying to fit too much into one line, if you get me

I know her fans largely don't care about her singing live but Kieran, you're not daft, there did appear to be a difference between the two songs, didn't there? (I've just seen the second). I don't know if she's asthmatic but she sounded very out of breath and she was standing still
But anyway... I'm just gutted that she revealed nothing about the GA reunion. I love GA but she was cagey even about that.

Under The Sun is easier though as it remains at the same vocal level throughout. When she mimes there are never any close up shots because she she is pretty crap at miming so I'm inclined to believe she was live and people from the taping said she was.
She has mimed so much in the past that people will always assume she is miming.
And I want GA news as well but she confirmed November time in her interview.
Cheryl did Radio 1 Live Lounge (and you HAVE to sing live there 
). I remember her singing Fireflies there. She's wasn't amazing, but she wasn't really that bad either.

When you can see the difference between the performance at the start where she was having trouble holding notes and the one at the end where she was near perfect thats difficult to believe - the difficulty is one thing but it doesnt completely change your voice.
I think there was some live element to Under The Sun but no way is that totally live unaltered. Obviously they can put layers on in the effects run through or just do stuff in edit.
As for her voice. She's not terrible but the smoking has drastically altered her voice from the early days.

There were backing vocals during Under The Sun to pad it out like the original CD version.
I think Under The Sun may have been live in the studio but was altered afterwards, as at 1:44 she is short of breath and misses out the word 'and' from the line 'and I got paid today'.

Just watched it back properly. Is the rain touching her or is it just in front of the camera?
If it was live in the studio it certainly didn't sound like the version broadcast. That main vocals definitely been altered and tuned, you can hear it in her voice.
