Nothing wrong with Preeti, they just never gave her anything to do, but chase after Mickey. If she would decide to take a job in the salon, she could be just fine, if teamed with some other residents, as in a group of friends.
The Ferreiras suffered from Dan suddenly leaving, if that had not happened, the murder they had planned could have just tipped the scale in their favor. On a serious note:I would like the Millers back, or at least Mickey, Keith and Rosie, they can keep Dawn, Darren and Demi for all I care, especially as they would have to return with Gary, Summer, Jodie, George and Aleesha with them, that is too many kids at once!! I would go about it like this: Darren decides (maybe after being asked to do it by Phil) to visit Shirley, with baby George.Because Jodie coudln't make it for some reason (I don't know maybe she is working, or visiting her mother in a mental hospital, or she could just have gotten the flu), Darren has asked Mickey to go with him, as he was a little scared to travel from where ever it is they're at, to Walford with a little kid in tow and no help. This could also show us how Darren is really rtrying to be a good dad, but finding it very difficult. So, Micky, Darren and George arrive at the station. At this time, we could have had a special with Shabnam in Pakistan. She is living with her very, very conservative grandparents, or aunt and uncle. They have been openeing and checking her mail since she got there, but always gave the letter to her after they read it. Shabnam never knew as they were very carefull to close the envelope again, just like Zainab would have done ;P After the news broke that Syed was gay, they decided her brothers and parents could be a bad influence on her and they stopped giving ehr the letters. They did hang on to the letters, to use them as leverage, or blackmial material at a later time. Shabnam is a pretty girl and this has not gone unnoticed by some of the men in the town (I imagine they live in a village, or a small town, not a big city). An attractive, unmarried twentysomething would be a good party, and Shabnam, knowing that these are the people that married of ehr mother, and possibly that this happened more recently, fears she will share that faith. The man who is friendliest with her family is a real douchebag, so she decides to go and see if there is a way out. Confiding in one of her cousins, she is told about the letters and goes to find them. Reading all about Syed, Amira, Afia, Yasmin, Christian, Yusef, the fire and everything, she get concerned about the state of her family and also realizes they did not forget about her, like she was led to believe. She takes some money from her grandparents/aunt and uncle and returns to London with just a bag with some belongings and taking ehr cousin with her. He or she would be about 15 years old, but could be in danger if his/her involvement in Shabnam's departure and the disappearing cash came out, so they flee together. This could be an hour long special, raising awareness for honor-related violence, similar to the Whitney storyline and it's special, only this would need a little more than 10 minutes to be explained, as we had no proper build up, nothing has happened or was known of this in the Sqaure. So, with Shabnam back on the Square for a while already, she happens to be running some errands, just as the Millers arrive. She drops her back, of course it contains a whole lot of oranges and Mickey rushes to help her. He is instantly attracted to her and this time the feeling is mutual (I remeber Shabnam not wanting to be set up with Mickey in the past, much to Dawn's annoyance, but they have both grown up since then and had some life experiences that might make the differences from back then look silly). A romance slowly, but steadily evolves and after some time, the pair decides to get married. Zaianb is going into shock over the news, as it would mean she'd be sitting next to Rosie and Keith at the wedding. After visiting (and preferabally bringing all of the Millers with them, including the kids, partners and that crazy uncle), Rosie and Keith decide to stick around and since Shabnam has inherited ehr mtoher's love of family get togethers and she is getting on just fine with ehr inlaws, the Masoods and the Millers will have to find a way to get over their differences and all get along. The scenes with Keith and Zainab will be classic, especially if Shabnam will have a baby at some point, which I'm sure she will. Alternatively, Shabnam could have fleed ehr family in Pakistan after she's been raped by said douchebag. Her family may not see ehr as the innocent party, so fearing their reaction she leaves. On her return, she does not waste much time to spend the night with Mickey. She will be pregnant, but unsure if it is Mickey's, who she is still with, or the result of a rape. We will see Shabnam thinking about abortion and maybe confiding in one of her parents on the matter. She will probably decide to keep it, so a rushed marriage takes place, with the family later claiming the child came early. It comes out a ginger, making it absolutely clear this is a Miller. Just in case the first version was not dramatic enough. The family members in Pakistan could include uncle Imzamn, who went back. My goodness, that man always gave me the creeps!! |

However, a possible problem with your story is the letters - doesn't she have a computer and email? Tam took that family photo and digitally fixed it and emailed it to her; I'm also sure when she first left, they talked about emails and photos she had sent vie the computer... |

I remember him having far too many storylines... too much screentime. He is so overrated just because of how many long term controversial storylines he was at the centre of... I'm glad they killed him off when they did he had totally run his course!
