.... I'm only interested in Coronation Street, and having to scroll through posts to find Corronation Street ones is a pest.

Perhaps there could be one per soap and then an "any other comments" option

I agree. I'd be interested to hear the "official" reason for it not happening though, as your idea has to have been suggested before.

Yes. Eastenders threads dominate the soap section, or that's what it feels like anyway.

Emmerdale threads seems to get shoved to page 2 and then 3 and 4 and so on. Hollyoaks to unless it is about Brendan Brady or Ste Hay.

It would help if people included what soap they are referring to in their thread titles.

I just think everything would be fine if only EE could have its own sub-forum away from the main soaps page.

EE is the soap that clogs up the soap forum with pointless juvenile (imo) threads.

ED and Corrie are fine together as they seem to get a more sensible type of discussion thread.

I'm confident that "joke" threads are not limited to EE though. "Has Norris Cole ever had an anal prolapse?" springs to mind.

There do seem to be more EE threads in general, but I wouldn't completely correlate that with the quality (or lack of) of the discussions. To me, the main problem is similar threads. God knows how many "I know who the shagger is!" threads there have been, same with "Ryan looks as old as Michelle!" or words to that effect. The mods, if possible, should be more active in merging threads.

I only watch Coronation St. and Emmerdale so I would welcome individual forums for soaps.

What would be good is if there were two hollyoaks thread. One for channel 4 and E4. I don`t watch E4 ep so i have to be careful not see any spoilers.

Couldn't agree more!

FGS all it takes is - CS: EE: ED: HO: etc the beginning of the thread title!

We've got a comprehensive collection of some of the best thread titles here ...

As of 3:26pm, I have counted 24 threads titles on the first page of the Soap forum that contain reference to the soap they wish to discuss. One of those used "Albert Square", instead of "EE" or "Eastenders", but I still counted it as I feel Albert Square is as obvious as using the latter two.

The reason for me sadly counting those titles? I don't agree that thread titles are a serious problem (though admittedly, an easy one to avoid). You should know if someone called "Zainab" is in your soap or not. If no characters in Corrie are called Zainab, then I think it's an easy assumption to make that the thread is not about Corrie. Even if you do decide to click on it regardless, how long does it take you to escape the thread? Seconds? The phrase "making a mountain out of a molehill" springs to mind.

The list is literally endless, (hence the request for a separate EE forum), but a few (imo) are :

'If Sharon was a new character' (she isn't so? )

'Bring back the Ferreiras, Preeti, Danny and Shenice'

'Ian's hat'

'what is in the name EE fans'?

'Could Christian be Kat's lover'?

I agree it should be seperated too. I love chatting about EE but it would be nice to have a different section for other soaps.

I suggest it on an annual or semi-annual basis. Never happens.
