Can't believe it's been 10 years since DD first aired with Duncan. He invested in episode 1 too with Peter.

To be honest he hasn't done anything on Dragons Den to warrant being rated imo, he may as well not be there.
Agree, you could say the same about Kelly to be honest.

Those 2 were both crap additions and they obviously knew it from their very short stay.

Next series probably makes or finally breaks the show imo.

They need 3 new Dragons and the ones they've brought in lately have been poor (James Khan, Kelly and Piers) and bought little to the show. If they bring in 3 duff replacements the show is dead.

Get Theo back or Richard Farleigh they were in the golden era of the den!

Have absolutely loved Dragons Den from day one. Peter Jones I've always liked and rated very highly on DD. Deborah Meaden is also great value - a tough but fair businesswoman. I also miss Theo Paphitis, James Caan, Richard Farleigh and Doug Richard who were all great dragons. Hilary Devey was also good entertainment value whilst she lasted.

But it's Duncan Bannatyne that has always been 'the governor' for me. I just think he has that little bit extra nous the others just don't have. If Duncan wanted to invest in something, you always had the feeling it must be really good. Sorry to see him go.

When I went to hospital only a few months back, I had to wear one of those stockings and guess what the nurse advised?

"Put the plastic bag that the stocking comes in over your foot and then slip the stocking on and remove the bag."

So no need for a silk sash bag just use what the stocking comes in!

Duncan really doesn't rate Piers does he?
Not surprising as Piers was being a complete knob. Why force the bloke to split his business into two to concentrate on the drinks part then tell him it couldn't possibly compete with the big players anyway. Just say "I'm out". What a complete waste of time and space he was.

Duncan will be a big loss, just as Theo was. Mainly for moments like that when he was openly critical of other dragons.

I actually quite liked Kelly though her investment decisions always seemed to revolve around how something fitted in with her design business. At least she wasn't a time waster like Piers. I've never seen any other Dragon ask questions as if whe was interested, get encouraging answers yet still not invest. It was like he always wanted to find a reason not to.

My wife, who is a nurse, said exactly the same thing. However I think the idea has legs (pardon the pun) especially with users outside of hospital. Deborah M going on about being able to do the same thing with a square of fabric simply hadn't thought that through. Doing that might make it harder to put the stocking on, not easier, due to the creases it would make. Not to mention the awkwardness of trying to fold it around your foot then hold it in place with one hand while you try and don the stocking with the other.

The price being asked for this silky bag was ridiculous, only costing just over a £ 1 to make.
People could just make their own at a fraction of the price.

It won't be the same with no Duncan.

Not sure the series will be that great going forward.

Or do as the nurse told me: Use the plastic bag the stocking comes in!

Will give them a chance, but for me quite a disappointment they haven't really managed to get one of the 'bigger names' in like Michelle Mone...Obviously they wouldn't have managed three but I can't say I've ever heard of any of the three names, the closest I would get is Moonpig.com!

Even on Series 1 at least I had an idea who Peter Jones was!

From stories in the paper a few months ago she doesn't have any money anyway, the latest accounts for her 'design business' are woeful. Allegedly.

Whenever she says 'I'm out' i shout at the telly 'You don't have any money anyway', sad that i am

You are wrong Kelly is a multi-millionaire her dad was a multi-millionaire when he died and left her a fortune. Her partner is also a multi-millionaire.

I'm glad Michelle Mone isn't one of the new ones. She's annoying enough appearing on The Apprentice You're Fired.

I had no clue who any of the original Dragons were to begin with. It doesn't matter what their backgrounds or profile are, the important point is how strong a character they are. People like Peter and Duncan are prepared to roll the dice (as long as it's loaded in their favour). With luck at least one of the new team will have a bit of nerve too.

Why was only season 1-2 on DVD but not the newer ones? Itunes UK doesn't have them but other countries do?

Although I do watch the show, it is not a patch on Shark Tank, and Dragons Den Canada. More knowledgeable investors, better products, and the entrepreneurs seem to have more ambition.
