This could have been done with a decent quality exercise mat with colour patches on it to fit in with the exercise instruction that goes with it.. so people know where to put their feet etc.
That's what I thought it was going to be, I thought the colours were going to light up like the old "Simon" game

He presumably re-invested all of that £2.2m he got from selling his first company? Ok...
He should have spent more money on a decent website

First rule of the Den: If appearing on telly make sure your site is ready to accept a load of visitors.

Besides, there any number of property investment funds you can invest in.

Scrap the sob stories and get rid of Evan doing the commentary as well as quickening the pace a bit more and the show would start to be good.

I'm liking Touka and the other guy. Have a feeling the woman might be a bit of the Kelly of last series.

Edited really weirdly this series, and STOP SPOILING THE ENTIRE SERIES BBC!

I liked Touker, Sarah is a breath of fresh air compared to Kelly, Nick I haven't decided on yet, Deborah still getting out of the wrong side of bed and Peter is just one of the props so has to be present.

But as others have said the people coming in are just a bit boring now, 80% of them seem to be 'I'm here today to try and flog something I bought off a bloke in China"

Evan up to his usual tricks with his commentary "But will Sarah Willingham be WILLING to invest"

Agree with the comments above me.

Annoying and aggravating things that haven't changed in this "revamp"........

1. Deborah Meaden thinking she is the top Dragon - someone please remove her from that middle chair.
2. Deborah Meaden revelling in catching people out on basic stuff and then protesting she feels no joy in doing so.
3. Close up shots of Deborah Meaden's nails every minute.
4. Deborah Meaden continually acting and talking as if she's the shrewdest investor and business woman in the universe whilst doing nothing bar pointing out the bleeding obvious.
5. Deborah Meaden not retiring like the other dragons. Go and live in the sun somewhere love. At least with Peter we get some cracking one liners and insightful words.....she's purely there for vanity and ego feeding.

Ok enough of her....

6. I am sure I'm not the only one DUMBFOUNDED by the producers choice to continue with the "coming up on tonight's show" segments - WE DON'T WANT TO KNOW!! We are watching the show for gods sake!! It simply beggars belief that the production crew think the viewers enjoy seeing previews whilst the show is actually on.
7. On a similar note I can safely say none of the production team read this forum cos if they did they would have dropped all the previewing and also dropped the ludicrous patronising interjections from Evan after each pitch simply repeating what we've all just heard. Thats been driving people mad for approximately a decade.
8. Shark Tank is much better - still.

You're certainly not the only one - going slightly off topic I hate how they have to give away details of the pitches in the Radio Times I watch DD for the unexpectedness factor...

Touker seems to be the new "nice guy" in the Theo mould whereas the other chap is a bit of a Mr Nasty. Undecided thus far on Sarah.

Theos older brother even has the same mannerisms as Theo!

He'll be on about his childrens inheritance soon

I just thought Theo had aged very rapidly.

As soon as I saw the guys in lycra getting ready to come in I switched off. If it's a gimmicky exercise/dance/alternative therapy thing I just do not watch those pitches.

I may have misheard but did the property investment guy say that for the past three years the company has not made a profit, but later said he had been able to pay dividends?

Isnt that a Ponzi scheme? Coz presumably he was paying dividends from new investors money!

i don't like it either, the 'and will any of these entrepreneurs be able to secure investment?' sections where they basically show you brief teasers of what's still to come in the show you're watching.

some of you will know better than me, but there's a name for it in telly land i.e. not just showing the viewer a linear program but swapping it around and/or throwing teaser segments in. the 'experts' believe it will keep a viewer engaged with the program and lessen the chances of them switching over.

suppose it's connected to the fact/assumption that younger generations have a much shorter attention span and are more prone to reach for the remote.

The impression I got from the 5% fee mentioned, was that all the business did was arrange the funding. Any profit and risk from actual buying of properties and developing of them, was by the crowd-funders.

I have a plastic step thing for reaching into high cupboards. If I wasn't allergic to exercise I could use that and save £120.
You mean the sort of thing from Mothercare to help little boys point Percy at the porcelain?

Perhaps I missed something, but crowd funding sounded more like a reinvention of the Building Society movement.

Agree with both of these. I don't want to know what's coming up and my memory works well enough to remember what happened 10 seconds ago without needing Evan to remind me. At least they seem to have ditched the "let's look at some losers who didn't get any money" inserts.

The new Dragons are very bland. The show ended really when Theo left.

Wow. That's serious spin! "invited by the BBC" to go on the show, indeed.

I quite like them. I didn't watch the last few series as I didn't like Hilary Devey and then Kelly and Piers.

As for Nick, I'm amazed that Moonpig is that successful!

I agree they've brought in some really boring people and Deborah seems to be getting very cranky. I started watching the Canadian version a while ago and their Dragons are far more interesting.

Try Shark Tank if you can find it anywhere, so much more realistic and dynamic with some truly hilarious comments from both the sharks and the bait.

On the evidence of the first show I think they are a huge improvement over Hilary, Piers and Kelly.

I agree Theo is a massive miss but I'm quite optimistic for the new series

Agree the 3 new ones seem better already than other 3.

Couldn't stand Theo and his "basics" of business lessons every show like Meaden does now...........also thought he was hilarious whereas i only find Peter Jones to have any wit.

Meaden seems to be taking more and more pleasure in belittling people

She seems to be on a bit of a power trip now she's one of the 'senior' dragons

Deborah Meaden will be on The One Show tonight discussing all things Dragons' Den and the show's 10th anniversary.

I wonder if she will discuss how disappointed she was to have missed the opportunity of investing £1m in a company worth £20m (even though it hasn't made a profit yet)?

It reminds me of the Dot.com boom and bust when the mantra was - "you shouldn't use the old rules to value a new kind of company".

That's how I feel too having just watched first one.

With the loss of Duncan and Theo, I was VERY sceptical about this series, and had all but given up on it, but I think they have found some good replacements. Will certainly be sticking with the series.
