HA HA are the Dragons are begging now and bragging about how wonderful they are.

Poor Meaden.

It's always amusing when the tables are turned and the dragons start pitching for a deal. I think Deborah is the one to go with and Peter asking for twice the equity is so egotistical and also insulting to his fellow dragons.

The trouble is, i like Peter, so i would probably accept Peter even with the extra percentage

I take it back, that was quite a nice little manoeuvre there.

Sarah breathing a sigh of relief she only has to pay half the money and can afford to eat for the month now.

Would have been hilarious if he walked to the back of the room and stuck that bucket over his head.

I always think it's a mistake not going with Peter. Especially when he's already worked out the stores he's going to get the product into.

But not unusual as he has always acted like he is above everyone on planet earth.

That's why you're not in business.

I'm not sure thats the best decision, I would have gone for Peter even at the higher equity

10% is very low for Den standards. Almost every pitch involves Dragons asking for more of a % than what's on offer. I think the other Dragons got a bit distracted by the "feel good" theme of the product and it being for kids etc... and they completely forgot that he was only offering 10%. Peter also had two routes to market already set in his mind.. thousands of stores and a successful experiences company. So that alone is worth the extra imho. Very few pitchers get Dragon investment and with 90% of their own business left at the end.

The one thing about Peter is that he has been doing Dragons Den for a long time, his connections he has made might be worth the extra 10%, plus he has a decent track record of making money on Dragons Den

I quite fancied Mad Mark. I'm sure that behind the glasses and hair top knot there lurks a gorgeous guy! I do have a soft spot for geeky guys.

I like how this week Evan Davies was obviously on commission every time he managed to shove in the phrase 'e-commerce' when referring to Nick Jenkins

Yeah, of course. Last check, £26.93 in the bank.

* But what about Tooky Sulliman - what a greedy so and so he is.

'I want 99% of your business for all the money...'

Not quite but he is greedy. And so is Peter. 'I want 20%.'

Now do you, me ol' son. Well you're not getting it!

That 20% isn't as bad as it sounds. From the point of view of the business owner, it means reducing his share from 90% to 80%. Peter would only have to help achieve 13% higher profits to make it worth going with him; not double.

However, the other two dragons are likely to be less busy...

Peter's a success but he is greedy.

That's all very true and it will, at the end of the (cliched) day, depend on how profits turn out. That said, 100% of buggerall is still not a lot

I think you're right and think that may well have been the case with this particular woman.

She really made a mess of her pitch, after initially doing so well.
As has been said in the thread, she didn't do her homework on the Dragons. Touker was not the right choice if her "Made in England" ethos was so important.

I'm not really sure she needed their investment.
I've seen her products for sale in Boots and they're rather nice.
