I, for one, had already written off BBC2 for sunday night, and was blowed if I was going to go back in case the snooker had finished, and if DD had come on in its place

Quite saddened to see so many people disliking the new Dragons! I've really enjoyed this series and quite like the dynamics between Touker, Sarah, Nick, Deborah and Peter. I think this is the first time I've looked forward to watching since Hilary left.

Glad there are still 3 episodes to go until series end, I was a little sad when I looked on iPlayer and saw there was no episode from Sunday- thought it had finished already!

The only parts of the show that bother me now are Evan (he's great as a voiceover but we don't really need his introductions) and the previews (both for "still to come" and "next time"). It makes the show so much more interesting not knowing what's coming at all. I find the previews spoil it a bit.

I also can't shake the feeling that if we got rid of the previews and Evan's introductions we'd have room for at least another pitch each episode.

That might just be me though.

^ I agree about the previews issue. I'd much rather just watch episodes unfold normally. It reminds me of US shows where they keep showing excerpts every couple of minutes!

Although I do miss older dragons like Duncan, I'm perfectly fine with the new additions.

This is my main problem with it, Evan sort of tells you what the Dragons are going to say or how they feel about something a few seconds before they speak

Evan voiceover : "Deborah wants to look at the Contract"

Cut to Deborah "Can i have a look at the Contract"

Evan voiceover : Deborah doesnt feel this is the deal for her"

Cut to Deborah : "I dont think this is the deal for me"

Then we get the "Coming up section" where they basically show you the best bits of the negotiation and its only about 5 minutes before the actual pitch.

I have to record the show and watch the playback fast-forwarding the 'coming-up' bits - they're totally unnecessary and often out of context anyway.

My problem with the new Dragons is that more than ever before, this series seems to have little cross-over between what the Dragons are interested in. They each have their own 'sector' and stick to it. Unless there's something that is an easy no-brainer, they don't step on each others' toes. Peter does technology, Deborah does leisure and environmental, Nick does internet, Touker does manufacturing and retail, and Sarah does food. In the past, Dragons like James, Duncan and Theo did seem to like to take a punt on something a little more out of their comfort zones, which doesn't tend to happen any more, they all want something easy with little effort apart from being able to use their contacts to open a few doors. Only Peter can be a little unpredictable these days.

Yes he's very annoying. Can you imagine having to deal with him on long term basis? No thank you.
