As I suspected it's all set up beforehand.

Are you the guy? Just curious.

It's an interesting insight although comes across as somewhat sour grapes for the most part. A sort of "I didn't get investment.. and it's all their fault" type post.

It's pretty obvious to any regular viewer that DD isn't exactly how it's shown on TV. A previous pitcher shared a behind the scenes video where you could see them having a discussion about their product that was never shown on TV. The dragons were all sat back casually discussing how they could help out etc etc and it was really quite interesting to watch as none of that made the show. However the video was taken down which was a shame.

But either way we know it's not exactly how it's shown on TV. The having to prove figures and prior knowledge of products is surprising to me but then again I suppose they have to do some research otherwise they'd get people appearing who were basically lying to get on TV. What confuses me a bit is if they had such prior knowledge then some of their reactions to figures are worthy of an Oscar. As is the disappointment I've seen on some Dragons faces when they say they're out and then find out at the last moment there is a piece of information they weren't told at the start. That's happened quite a few times.

Regardless it's a TV show. These things happen. Businesses do still get investment via the show and the show has made people millionaires. So the concept is still legit imho.

Am I the guy? No, I'm not. But I'd heard of Damson products before and thought I'd take a look at their website after watching the pitch.

What an utterly poor episode, no investment until a desperate bid for some cheap second hand children's crap. Awful, truly awful.

All sounds like sour grapes. Course some of its edited for TV but who would invest in something with little orders?

Was that the end of the series?

Yawnfest.

Anyway, if and when the series comes back I hope Touker is nowhere to be seen. He's my least favourite Dragon ever. Nick is fine although I wouldn't miss him. Sarah should stay.

Any Touker time is far too much time.

I'm with you Jamie - Nick and Touker - no thanks. Bring back Duncan Bannantyne! As to the blog from the Damson bloke, he looked like a know it all twerp to me and the rest were rubbish.

Can't believe it is the end of the series

As a woman how I dislike these types who come in bleating away being pathetic and nervous as though being at home with a few kids removes the brain - going for the sympathy vote.

Should have got a bit of coaching and come in with her idea being the next big thing. I don't know who invested in her as I fell asleep with boredom .......

There's some sort of retrospective next week - unfortunately it's hosted by Richard Osman.

I find him infinitely more stickable than Evan Davis. The pointless recaps do my nut in.
'Client loses first dragon'
Evan: 'X has just lost his first dragon'

I like him, however I fail to see how you can in effect have the best of the best pitches, reaction, how they're doing now etc from 13 series in just under an hour. It's barely 4mins per pitch if they picked 1 from each of the 13 series (and they'd likely want to do more). For me it needs to be at least 90mins long, if not 2 hours, if you're to do it properly (purely because it covers 13 series).

I'm pretty sure that is scripted.
I cannot imagine he just drops in with casual comments so I can't blame him for that.

The new Theo is the worst.

Sounds like he operates by making cheaply in China and selling at a premium.

Goes on about his tech team. Anybody can open a wordpress and start an online shop on a day.
