I'll offer you £1 for 102% of your business and anything else you invent or think of ever.

Do you want to go to the back of the forum to think about it?
this made me giggle

Would love to see the dragons ask for 51% of a business one day and see what the reaction is from the victim.
That has happened before.

I'm sure someone's been on here with willy wipes before. Just spit on a hanky like the rest of us!
I've found that Wet-or-Dry 1200 grade works just as well - moistened first, of course.

No, I want £100,000 for 10%.

I have made an estimation that if everyone in the local area buys two sausage roll a month (excluding people who do not eat pork), I will sell 2 million sausage rolls. I also have vegetarian ones which I am about to market. I have one person in America who is interested in buying one and have the facebook wall post to prove it.

Did I mis-hear or did that last guy (who Theo invested with) say he owned and developed and sold Net Flix?

If so, not suprised at Theo's decision.

This idiot is really pissing off the Dragons. £150,000 for 1% what a muppet...
The 1% is OK. The dragons always ending up demanding a bigger percentage anyway. (I would have demanded 99% in this case just to see the expression on his face.)

You mis-heard, it was something similar, but not Netflix, which is an American company anyway.

Didn't think anyone was going to invest in the i[talk]cafe, but seeing the website, it does look good.
Loved the Zombie Game....

And the Zapper website....didn't want any bar-code I typed in....it'll make millions.

Nobody would make any money from me as I am a reviewer for my local library and how do they know what state the CD's and books are in before they give a price

Yes that puzzled me too - and postage/handling/warehousing costs.

& also how does a bar code show a "Value", for example a book bought from Waterstones will show a different value from one bought in ASDA, surely, the barcode is different for different shops.?

The barcode identifies the book..their back office algorithms then calculate a "purchase" value based on their expected re-sale value. It assumes the book is in good condition.

As mentioned in a post above...it didnt accept any of my books either

Barcodes tend to be the same across shops (otherwise they would need to be printed differently). The barcode seems to incorporate part of the ISBN, so can identify the book and edition.

The price depends on what the store has assigned to that barcode, which may or may not be the same as the list price.

The value offered is anyway way below list price.

I often wonder why they got rid of Richard Farleigh, he was quite good. Its a bit of a shame about Hilary, it must be awful when they take up worse offers than hers from another Dragon.

I was thinking about Richard today too as I watched the last episode.

I liked him - as far as I remember he was generally affable with the pitchers, negotiated with them quite reasonably, was quite positive, and invested relatively often.

Probably not what the programme-makers were after

They are so clever. I thought that book business sounded great until they asked the question bout how much his fellow investors put in for 10%.

I would have been duped by all his talk of £100, 000 turnover

Does anyone want to buy a sausage roll business from me? I have sold one for 50p at a charity baking sale but I value my business at £1 million pounds over three years .
There is a huge difference between what a small startup is worth and what an established profitable business is worth. I thought the Dragons would understand that.

I can't believe the dragons don't understand that, it is basic investor facts of life. The earlier the investment, the lower the valuation. Debra herself said much the same when telling the first guy not to use Facebook valuations.

Did anyone else think the sign language guy over did his facial expression when explaining that the offer was for 30%? I think he thought it was outrageous!

After having a bit of a play, DVD box-sets worth £30-£50 seem to get offers of £3. While older ps3 games I am offered 20p. I would rather give them to charity at that price.

New games and DVD don't seem to be listed either.

I agree but she looks seriously weird in this series...Like a dark haired over rouged Whatever happened to baby Jane type character with the added ringlets....

Farleigh was ditched because it concerned the BBC the panel was too white, according to Farleigh himself. Caan replaced him, who I couldn't stand.

I think Simon Woodruffe (long forgotten Dragon) had the series marked right when he said 'it was more about certain people making a name for themselves, we weren't supporting business or startups as I hoped, it was simply a way for some people to increase their power and ego' (*cough* Peter *cough*)
