Agreed. I get the impression he is a lot of talk but no substance. Early days but I'm not feeling much from him. When someone calls themselves a "cloud computing pioneer" I smell one thing..

They invested in 'him'. Not quite sure what they saw, until he got upset.

Yes, of course its unfortunate, but in any other circumstance it was just an awful pitch and he wouldn't have got an investment.

Bare Naked foods: http://www.peterjones.com/peter-jone...e-naked-foods/

The brand name is excellent (much better than "wrap it up" was). It just needs a decent product building around it.

They invested in the idea and brand - barenaked foods - food without additives etc!

to me seemed like Peter Jones invested cos he saw potential in the brand Name which he said was a great name ?? it certainly wern't the noddles he called baby food

The lift is a bit pointless, don't see how it adds anything.

Don't mind the new dragons, it certainly needed a bit of refreshing.

Ok fair dues to the guy and Peter.. the product is already at market, so perhaps they did cut something out of the pitch or maybe I was just being overly harsh. Well done to the guy anyway.

Peter to New Guy: "What would you bring to the business"?

New Guy: "Youth.....and I would help you"

It's a no brainer...sod the New Guy and go into business with Peter!

So you expect them to cut out his whole pitch because he cried to stop the show from turning into 'Big Brother', as you say?

He's not a pioneer of anything. It's a good thing he's not pitching anything either as Lego isn't the second largest toy manufacturer in the world. It's in fourth place. And his elephant analogy is moronic. If an elephant has sat down then it's not going anywhere and you don't have to move. And it's a good think Apple didn't take his advice when they decided to take on IBM.

Yes they should have edited it out.

If they edited that out though we wouldn't have understood why they invested. Up to that point, it was just a very dodgy pitch.

Kelly Hoppen used to go out with Nicky Clarke, with all that hair he must have been kept busy.

I don't think Peter Jones invested because of the emotion involved.

The brand\name proposition was good and he has already done almost the same thing very successfully with Reggae Reggae sauce. He has all the mechanics \ contacts in place to try to and replicate that and I think that's why he was keen.

So they invested in Skinny Tan and Bare Naked Noodles?

Seems odd considering Famous Dave's Tone & Tan and the Eat Water ranges are almost exactly the same products, doing well in the UK market already, and yet neither was mentioned

I thought one of the Dragons would mention the unsuitability of having 'skinny' in the title of a fake tanning product, bearing in mind all the problems we have today with body dysmorphia/eating disorders. But they were all champing at the bit to invest!

Good start to the 100th series.

And the Rookies were OK....even teaming up.

Liked the Lift too....and the long hot water bottle.

Yeah but the skinny latte/skinny cappuccino is a high street main stay now. I think the literal meaning has been lost.

That's a rather unfortunate spelling mistake

So far, not too impressed wuth the new dragons, who have yet to show that they have personality. Kelly seems to lack warmth, but it's early days yet.
The show is not the same without Theo.
