Quite unbelievable.”

The pitch will have been edited massively - Peter's comment could have been half an hour later or even before the miscarriage reveal. I doubt Peter Jones would invest Ģ60k just to make himself look better after a faux-pas.

I donīt quite get the product. I mean, I get the idea behind it, low-carb diets donīt allow you to eat pasta, and thatīs annoying. But pasta is made out of flour and eggs, his product is made out flour and rice, which is also complex carbohydrates. I donīt get it, unless I missed something.”

Just found this thread - hilarious btw, top work folks

But the BIB above - Thats what I didn't get either

Indeed. If Bare Naked Foods becomes a multimillion pound brand (like Levi Roots did) then getting 50% of the business for Ģ60,000 is the bargain of the century.

I know it wouldn't have happened, but I do wish this new series would have reverted back to the original 'electronic' version of the theme tune, which sounded reminiscent of Kraftwerk. It was much better than this version.

Why does the BBC insist on changing superb original theme music versions for inferior versions. Others I've noticed are 'Mastermind', and (I'm showing my age) 'One Man and His Dog' (now only shown at Christmas-time, I believe).

BBC: Leave the theme music versions alone - and don't just change it for the sake of change.

The noodles are mainly water hence low carb.

Mmm, tasty.

It must contain some form of flour, but if it is mainly water I suspect that the amount of flour is minimal hence it is low contents in CH and hence it is unpleasant texture as posh woman mentioned.

The wrap people were so greedy. 500k for investment? Crazy.

The noodle guy is a bit embarrassing to watch. Tall face Peter said to him "how much profit will it make" and Noodles goes silent and makes weird faces. And then he does the classic "poor me" crying routine. Sheesh. Man, get a grip, this is DD not the X Factor. Clearly he has emotional issues so shouldn't have gone on the show.

It's almost as embarrassing as watching Tipping Point. Worst tv quiz show ever!

I don't particularly like Duncan but glad he put Peter in his place when he was deliberately being a total arse over rushing noodle guy. Is it ready yet, come on come on. Christ the guy was shaking like a shitting dog give the guy a break and let him finish his pitch. Peter came across like a total dick, deliberately trying to pile more pressure on the poor guy then insulting his food as 'baby food'. Bit OTT. Well maybe I'd he'd not been so rushed he could have made a better job of cooking them. Then he went and did a total U Turn and made him an offer. Strange. Why would he invest in something he thought tasted like baby food?

As I have already said, I don't think he is interested in the food as such, it's the name he's bought, and I will be very surprised if:
A: he doesn't buy the guy out in a years time, I mean what actually is the guy bringing to the deal, I don't think he makes the product, he didn't invent it, as he showed a complete lack of knowledge over the ingredients.

B: If this deal even goes through, I'm sure the guys lawyer will pop up and mention the fact he was under "duress" when the offer was made and not in the "right frame of mind"

C: It may end up with Peter just offering to buy the name off the guy.

Maybe Peter has no intention of actually completing the deal and backs out due to "technicalities " . Maybe just saving his own face .

do people STILL think that these are a done deal when they make an offer, You are right in this case PJ is just buying the name, the bloke will probably sell out as he struck me as the sort of person if you said heres [insert amount of cash thats in 6-7 figures] for your company he'd take it,

I am glad I am not the only one that saw the cynicism in Peter. Not long after he was telling him to hurry up, telling him that he realities that maths are not his thing and after telling him that his product tastes of baby food... he makes him an offer for 50 per cent equity. I am pretty sure that had the information about his wifeīs miscarriages not been revealed, Peter would not have made an offer, in fact he would have probably put him down a bit more. All he had praised for was for the name so seems like he thought he could save his own face by holding on to that.

I know people donīt like Duncan and his manners, but I find him much more honest and refreshing than Peter. He seems to portray a false persona of himself, comes across as very patronizing and pre judgmental. It hasnīt been long since I read Duncanīs autobiography and in it he mentioned a row he had with Peter because he used to judge pitchers from what they were wearing, it appears that if you are not wearing a suit you are not presentable. He just seems a bit all smoke and mirrors, a facade.

Wasn't it Peter who said he liked the name of the noodle guy's company? I'm sure he's bought into it because of the brand name. He'll mould into what he wants.

I think the show has seriously lost the plot and they are scraping the barrel with the products being pitched for investment. The change to the pointless up and down stairs last year didn't work very well, but is now replaced by the even sillier fake lift (without any fake internal controls). So when the crying noodle guy went back in the lift he actually had no way to re-open the doors and return to the Den.

How anyone could eat those "noodles" is beyond me, must be like trying to swallow flavoured sawdust. And do we really need emotional "back-stories" to go with the pitch? As for the fake tan with the hideously cheesy intro routine, words fail me. I was quite surprised the camera got in so close to those dancers. Even Benny Hill might have been embarrassed by that.

And still we have the pointless voice over from Evan Davies. It doesn't annoy me that he announces what the dragons are going to do next (there's no real drama in that), it's just so plodding and predictable. There is absolutely no need for any commentary, unless it adds things that we can't deduce from what we see and hear. Nothing Evan says is remotely necessary.

It's a shame Theo left to spend more time with his lingerie. I had grown to like Hilary's bluff honesty too. Kelly Hoppen is quite a good replacement for her, but Piers is so bland compared to Theo.

I couldn't help but notice that the only two original dragons left are PJ and Duncan. Maybe they should release a cover version of Let's Get Ready to Rumble to spice things up a bit.

I thought it strange that Theo who has the most "High Street" and direct retail knowledge, was replaced by a designer, and a "Tech" guy, surely the whole point is each Dragon can bring something different to the table. At least with Hilary she had contacts and knowledge of logistics and shipping etc. The new womens answer to the lady with the golf buggy thingy was get a trade stand at some "luxury trade show in France, where I very much doubt even the most smallest of the stands can be had for less than Ģ25k or so.
