I don't understand the Duncan hate on here. Now Theo has gone he is my favourite dragon, funny, truthful, straight to the point, and he doesn't waffle inanely like some of the others.

Don't like either of the new dragons at all, Kelly is a bit of a non-entity and Piers is just plain awful.

Pod guy reminded me of a David Walliams character from Little Britain. The fella who wheels around the wheelchair guy

I am 80 and my husband 85 but NEITHER of us would feel at home in one of those pods, we would probably jump out of the nearest window screaming "the aliens have landed".

There was a program on Radio Four about treating Dementia. Apparently the symptoms are delayed if people are helped to remember their youth. Singing songs from when they were teenagers is meant to be a very good treatment.

So the pod shouldn't look like the home of an 80 year old, but more like the home they lived in 60-70 years ago when they were kids.

I didn't get the feeling the entrepreneur had an in-depth understanding of what he was doing, and had more stumbled upon something he could sell to hospitals and care homes (but I may be judging him harshly).

Yes, that was bugging me too. His voice was very similar.

Thats wat I was getting at, neither of us had homes looking like that when we were kids. Also I cringe when you hear 'old folk' being expected to sing songs like Run, Rabbit, Run and its a long way from Tipperary. They were not my generation at all.

Don't worry, when today's kids reach the grand old age of 80 some smart alec will sell their NHS Trust an Apple IPod for them to reminisce with

I'm enjoying the new series but the things i dislike:

Kelly - too 'ice queen' in my opinion. She doesn't add anything new. She mostly talks about design and aesthetics but don't feel she has any real substance. Not like Theo did (also applies below). Lacks the personality Hilary Duvey clearly had.

Piers - is a Mark Zuckerberg type but completely bland and boring. Like Kelly has no personality and appears dead behind the eyes. I feel like he was brought in for his 'youth' factor and nothing else.

Think the BBC picked the wrong new Dragons for this series. I don't find these two in any way likeable.

Other thing which i find extremely annoying is the length of time it takes for the people pitching to actually speak to the dragons. You see them enter the lift, wait in the lift, leave the lift before they actually get to say anything! Who do we need to see this?! This lasts around 20 seconds for each pitch, it's a complete waste of time!

I could also do without the sob story element im starting to see appear in this show. Happened in the very first show and i feel it wont be the last we see of this.

Obviously the songs will change with each generation. Maybe 20 or 30 years ago it was songs sung during the war, like It's a long way to Tipperary, but things move on.

My aunt was in her 70s when she recently died after a long period of dementia. The care home she was in sang songs from popular musicals from the 50s and 60s. Hits from things like West Side Story, South Pacific, etc. I'm sure by the time I'm in my 70s/80s they'll be singing all the current karaoke songs (that should get me booking my ticket to dignitas!)

Why was Peirs talking about 100 years to take over the whole industry?

My problem with it was that covers are usually installed by people who don't maintain the system so don't care about lifting it in the future. Also, as nomad says the screw threads will probably get gummed up, and its probably more vulnerable than the standard covers.

I wonder if that lift is real? Is this the same location they used for filming in the past? It looks more like a purpose-built studio now than it used to.
