I'm 99% sure they enter and leave the lift on the same level. There is no visible "jiggle" by the people when it starts or stops moving, so I'm sure it doesn't move. It's more of an airlock than a lift.
Happy to be proved wrong if anyone has actual facts. ); yet last night IIRC one of the demonstrators, (either the Makery or the Yoga) turned round as if she was going to leave by the same door she entered, (like you do in most lifts). So, I think she "forgot her lines", If you follow. My wife tried the Makery website, but couldn't get on to it. Overloaded, perhaps? |

I like the Lift
Pleased for Cheryl last night.
I'm guessing the Saw Horse could be another winner, like the Wheelbarrow Booster from last year. Same with the Drain-cover. But the Makery, just will not make any money. But what do I know.

Kelly is great but I agree that Piers shouldn't be brought back next year, doesn't bring much to the show. Any idea why he wasn't on Chatty Man? Will he become the new one that none of the others particularly like a la James Caan and Hilary?

Whilst I can say that Cumbrians are very down to earth, plain speaking people, this is no excuse for Richard's attitude during the presentation, and the nasty remarks made after. He went into the den, in the hope of persuading one or more of the dragons, to put some money into his business. Insulting said investors, by telling them they didn't know what they were talking about, is rude and this would, even if they had been considering making an offer, deter them from so doing, and rightly so. Although they are not a charity and would not, therefore, invest without the expectations of making a profit, it is, essentially, they who are doing the entrepreneurs a favour. Investment opportunities for these dragons are ten a penny. If these people could get what they wanted - be it financial or practical assistance - elsewhere, they wouldn't bother enduring what must be torture, especially when you don't kow what the hell you're talking about. Would anyone in their right mind, hand over a sizeable wad of cash, to someone who didn't even know his profit/loss figures or turnover? Exactly. I must say, Deborah Meaden has always been my favourite dragon but Kelly Hoppen - I have her bedlinen - comes a close second. I admire her immensely, as a talented, and industrious lady, who has worked extremely hard to achieve her success. She seems to have an innate ability to spot talent, and individuals who will make it.

I don't know how successful the yoga lady is or will be, but there's a glaring grammatical error on their website.

![]() At least they got the apostrophe in Dragons' Den in the right place, as opposed to the thread title ![]() Having said that, I have just noticed the apostrophe after Mothers as well - I assume that's what you're referring to.

Well, it doesn't appear to be on the home page, and I am certainly not going to wade through the whole site looking for it. Especially as it's a subject that doesn't interest me in the slightest!

I thought she presented as a bit of a PITA - and her hubby seemed a bit too well under control. Wonder where he keeps them ? |

I have watched and (mostly) enjoyed DD for many years and in my opinion last nights show was the worst, most pathetic, boring hour I have ever endured. The pitches were laughable, the products useless and the Dragons crigeworthy. As for the "lift" ...whoever thought of that should be fired.
I can only pray that it gets better...but am not holding my breath. However, I don't get the lift hate. Yes, it's a bit silly but I don't think it's that bad. |

^^^ the lift idea is fine, wether it's fake or not, but we don't need to see the workings of the lift every pitch week in and week out. The whole show is just full of padding now, on Sunday we had a Peters Jones 2 mins of fame segment then a re-cap of the first 30 mins of the show. And please can we get rid of the "Golem" his stupid piece to camera and endless talk overs are getting old hat and just used to justify his large wage packet!!

^ agree
Why is there so much padding when they seem to have tons of pitches that they don't show in full, they don't seem to be short of material. |

^^^ That always puzzles me, anything I can think of is that those pitches we only see a bit of are even worse than the actual ones we see... shudder!!!

Just to spice the first couple of shows in a new series, perhaps they could invite the Apprentice rejects to pitch their business plans
![]() Could'nt really be any worse *starts drafting email to DD production team* |

2 new dragons are 2 of the most unlikable people I've ever seen. This programme ended when Theo left.

Little wonder that Debbie Need'em has entered SCD, as I think this must be the last in the series. |
