Was she right in saying women carry condoms around? I thought that would be exclusively a man's responsibility
Well in case a man hasn't got one on him then you're both covered, so to speak Better to be safe than sorry

The vital part of condom man's patent was for measuring the size in 3 dimensions, is that correct? Surely you only need 2 dimensions for a proper fit, length and circumference (or diameter).

I'm not really a fan of the new dragons, but I think that Piers showed his worth by stepping in and trying to undercut Peter's offer to cabbie man. Peter looked quite annoyed. For too long I felt that the dragons all work together and either all ask for the same percentage and refuse to negotiate or they split that same percentage with another dragon. I still think Piers isn't great as he makes some pointless comments, but having someone to ruffle a few feathers is a good move.

What I do find annoying is the half time recap. Why do they feel the need to tell us what just happened a few minutes ago? And then the 'still to come' bit wich just spoils things we've yet to see.
Couldn't agree more - the scourge of modern tv - repeating back to the viewer in parrot-like fashion exactly what they have just heard in the previous two minutes. And then for good measure telling us what is coming up in the bit we're literally about to watch in five minutes. It's really not necessary to show us this BBC, we're not all about to turn over every minute!

On the prog itself in it's current guise I agree does look very stale.....especially if compared to US version Shark Tank which has raving lunatics as the sharks.

For me it's not about the way they've edited it. Anyway they would be crazy to air six episodes with few investments and then six with several each.

The problems with this series for me have been:

The new dragons not being good enough (one OK, one poor).
The really stupid and clearly fake lift.
So many of the pitches seem to be about getting publicity rather than investment and there have been too many performances. I don't watch Dragons Den to see song and dance numbers.

The crying and sad back stories coming out after the pitches, supposedly without any prompting, but usually preceded by a rather unnatural question which reveals it.
Peter and Duncan are as good value as ever, but I've never felt Deborah was in the same league so now Theo has left the Dragon line up is really weak.

All this might just be acceptable if only they got rid of Evan Davies and his utterly pointless, repetitive and banal commentary. DD has gone from being must see TV to "might watch if there's nothing better on" TV.
Spot on, it's vomit-inducing desperate tv which DD really does not need to be.

Peter Jones really showed his sexist side on the baby carrier pitch assuming that men wouldn't know anything about carrying babies so insisted on bringing the woman in for her opinion. Nice to see the woman dragon put him in his place that men now have equal parenting responsibilities. As a househusband and the main carer for my disabled child I took offense at his generalisations that 'the woman must know best' attitude.

Mind you, what would he know? People with his kind of money probably employ nannies to do all that sort of thing.
Agree with you , thought it was an offensive, ignorant and pathetic remark from Jones that even had the normally sycophantic Meaden disagreeing with him.

Kelly Hoppen comes across as quite stupid. She kept going on about the sports recovery drink being full of sugars even when it was pointed out to her that the sugars were from the fruits in the drink. Durrrrrrr.

Yeh - didn't get it all, but there again I think she represented quite well the confused consumer and the triathlete didn't do a good job of explaining it.

I've sent this to Evan: "Sorry, but we really DON'T need to be told what the Dragons are thinking/have said. Yes, it's your job, but viewers aren't stupid"
Don't hold your breath for an answer

Pedantic point but Evan introduced the condom pitch with "First to face the Dragons", when it was the third one.

Was one of the other pitches cut and replaced with this one?

This chap's awful, scruffily dressed, scruffy pitch. That graffiti would look yobbish on a child's bedroom.

I like this guy. I don't agree with Piers however. I think it would be quite easy to set up some code that could take an inputted text string and turn it into a graffiti image. If you look at the example he has on that wall and break it down into the individual letters... if you moved them into a different order it would still look good. Some letters are bigger and some are smaller but the letters are the same and they don't connect into each other. They're just layered. He would just need 10-15 or so templates with the letters A - Z in different fonts. You could allow the user to adjust the colours easily and perhaps add some additional images from a selection to customise it and by making some letters bigger than others. And if you add Banksy style stencils it makes it even better. It's entirely possible.

My thoughts exactly. She seems really condescending at times too.

As a kid I did my own graffiti on my bedroom wall and I wasn't a yob. It's expression and kids are very much into expression. Add into that having banksy style stencil images and I think it would be a winner. His price was way too high.. but I think it was a decent idea. Kids put posters all over their walls. Theres a market for replacing wallpaper with something more interesting to them.

I had the feeling they wanted to run a business but didn't know doing what. I agreed with Peter and would have run a mile. It was yet another sauce in an already crowded market and will need piles of cash to get going.

"I wanted my husband to have a nice cup of coffee in the middle of a field without a cafetiere."

I think that's the definition of a "first world problem".

I've also never seen the point of this new "glamping" craze of stopping in fancy cabins in the middle of a forest. Either sleep in a tent or a proper hotel, there's no need to mix the two.
