Why is Deborah Meaden even on this show? I have never seen her invest in anything.

Was watching this morning and the couple who were selling the wool duvets said wool was hypo-allergenic or something. Wool makes me itch though, I would want a heavy barrier between my skin and any wool. And they are heavy, my mom has one in her spare room and it really weighs you down, but it's not hot, just cozy and warm.
Forget stroppy battleaxe Meaden, when was the last time Duncan invested in anything? This show is well past its sell by date. The two best dragons in Theo and James have gone when it should really have been Duncan and Deborah who should get the axe

What planet was she on for thinking that anyone would give her 50% of their sales revenue, even without the £43k annual licence fee?
Exactly - an annual fee is fair enough and £43k may be reasonable depending on the amount of development work involved but a 50% cut of sales is ludicrous. Any potential client will just fall over laughing as soon as you mention that.

He's made 2 investments this series, in Ep4 and Ep5, but that was the part of the series that was in September so it does seem like ages ago.

Good Afternoon Dragons, my name is Fizzbin and today I'm after £250,000 for 1% of my business, the CorriVator.

The CorriVator is primarily designed for companies that want to make their properties seem to have more storeys in the building than the builders originally built.

Inside it's really just a corridor, but from the outside it looks and acts for all intents and purposes just like a lift, but without actually moving up and down.

My company has letters of intent from many major household names such as, The Empire State Building, Lloyds of London, and The Shard (which is actually a bungalow).

Currently we have orders from a Mr Wonka, a chocolateir who would like a CorriVator made from glass.

So, Dragons, hand over those wodges right now.

Thank you.

/sweats a bit.

I'd quite like to know exactly what was in that hot chocolate drink on the last show: 363 calories per cup!

I thought at first that Kelly had misread the label, but on a close-up freeze-frame you can see the ingredients list and it is per cup. In that case, either it's wrong (360 calories is about right for 100g of product), or each cup really has 100g of hot chocolate mix, which must make it nearly solid!

(My Cadburys hot chocolate drink suggests three heaped teaspoons per cup, which is only 80-90 calories, and I personally prefer just one.)

I just checked my Hot Chocolate in the cupboard, and for adding to hot milk it had 170cal per mug (20g of powder).
363 does seem quite high though.. she might have read the kJ figure

The 20g of product would be about 75kcal without the milk. And the product in the Den was made with water ('Just add water').

The freezeframe of the label was clear enough to see either 363 or 383 kcal per cup. (I have had extremely thick hot chocolates abroad, but they're not to my taste. Maybe it's normal in Ghana, but also incredibly unhealthy! Why not just eat solid chocolate?)

I would invest but I've put all my cards on 3 people from Renholm Industries who've designed a really hot bra.

I thought Ben's pitch was going to be "My Uncle the X President, has 35m dollars locked in a bank account, and I need your help to release the money"...hehe

But seriously who in their right mind would invest in a African business, it may become successful, then the government decide they don't like foreign nationals owning businesses and decide to take it off them.

Kelly every week never misses the opportunity to remind us how "green" and "environmentally friendly" she is, then when a product that ticks those boxes, it "oh but it's to heavy". But I must admit the duvet pitch was useless, how can you consider spending £117k on a machine, then not know how it will profit the business. Can't believe those guys didn't even suggest a lower % back at the dragons or even offer a "buy back" scheme.

Someone seems to have bought himself a wife.

Grabs coat & heads for the lift.
My first thought was, the hot Chinese girl married the triple chinned fat oaf for his money. Then she said she sold her £100,000 flat in China for the investment...

...must be true love. Just don't imagine the sex. Oh wait I did

What happens if you sit motionless in your armchair and halfway through the final of Breaking Bad, it switches the TV off!

If I go out the room for a piss or to get a drink, I don't want the hassle of the TV switching on and off, as well as a games console, or a PVR recording, and a light so I don't trip over something.

I love how you mentioned Breaking Bad as an example with your username

Not a great way to get an investment: I'm skint and the company is about to go bankrupt. Do you want to give me some more money?

Hoppen's hooter would probably confuse the egg. She'd just be about to tuck into a really delicious bowl of salt-free alfalfa sprouts, glance sideways for a specially designed £190 fork and the flipping lights would go out.

While its quite a good idea when you're only saving £20 a year after buying the thing it seems rather pointless.

Well if it switched of Eastenders, it would be doing everyone a favour!

So I picked something life shatteringly important.
