Is this going to be a Peter one again he loves a yachting/seafaring business.

Bit rich of Duncan doubting their product works as if he's Captain bleedin Birdseye or something how would he know?!
What was the product

His early work history>
In 1964 after a few weeks working for a local cabinet-maker he joined the Royal Navy, initially enlisting for twelve years as a junior second class engineering mechanic (stoker) at RNTE Shotley near Ipswich, better known as the boys' training establishment HMS Ganges. He served in the Navy for several years including a spell on the aircraft carrier HMS Eagle, before receiving a dishonourable discharge for throwing an officer off a boat landing jetty in Scotland. In his autobiography he claims this was in part a reaction to this officer's abuse of his authority, in part a dare by his shipmates and in part a way of getting out of the Navy, with which he had become disillusioned. Bannatyne spent his twenties moving from one job to another. Upon his return to Clydebank he trained as an agricultural vehicle fitter and then travelled around the country repairing tractors. He lived on the island of Jersey for four years from 1974 where he gained an HGV licence.

Now rebranded as Granny Cool
http://www.grannycool.com/

- they've still kept the same modern look.
Granny Cool - that sounds so tacky and un-cool, and why would you want to label it as "cool" anyway?.

Now that it's been said, It does look like Asda's own brand (especially the g looking like their "George" brand).

But he couldn't grasp that the water pressure would hold the valve in place, it wouldn't just act as when he pulled it thru!

Marmalade and Jams, there must be about a million brands on the shelves, Reggae Reggae was catching lightening in a bottle and did something slightly different, getting a popular brand of jams and marmalades is going to cost millions in advertising.
He couldn't resist mentioning Reggae stuff (again), but at least steered clear of "Levi Roots"

I was just thinking the same with the bike guy. That was really something he could have invested in and a great chance because he was the only dragon left. I'm not even sure why Piers is in the show. He could just be an actor, for all I know.
Does Piers have to pretend that he's going to invest only to end with his customary "......but I'm Out"

Whilst I've not had a problem with Kelly, and think some of the critisism of her on here has been a bit mean, last night she really got on my nerves. It seemed to me that when she wanted to say something, she'd open with "Guys, guys, guys...." Even to the women.

On a different note, the boat chaps wanted to make it law that their device was carried in all boats, but surely that's not going to be a quick thing. On top of that, if it is made compulsory, surely they won't be the only manufactures able to make them. They're not going to be handed a legal monopoly, are they?

Calling it "granny" was bad enough (my grannies did not make marmalade so I don't particularly identify with whatever nostalgic image they are trying to create) but adding "cool" is like a sofa shop announcing an "exciting" sale.

And what a strange website. Just one page and when you click a tab at the top it simply scrolls down a bit. Like something out of the late 90s when we were all learning to do a bit of simple html. Still, they can improve it with time but they will struggle to shake off the "we call ourselves cool so by definition we must be unbelievably uncool" aphorism that I have just invented.

Half of Dragon's Den investments fall through after the show
According to research done by a company (who unsuccessfully applied for the show), Tiger Mobiles.

https://www.tigermobiles.com/2015/02...why-we-did-it/
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/b...-the-show.html

To be precise, that's 76 out of the 143 pitches that have been successful. Quite a few other interesting facts on the Tiger Mobiles website.

Intrigued by what appears to be a belt buckle attached to Piers Linney's shirt.
He only has one shirt it would seem, he's worn the same one in every episode.

They have to wear the same outfit on each episode for continuity reasons. When Hillary Devey was on it she explained this in an article and said she bitterly regretted wearing the hideous white jacket.

Thanks for those links.
I was really interested in following up the companies in the second one.

Lol this woman is funny

Humour seems slightly lost on her!

Back of a fag packet sales figures aren't going to do her any favours either!
