Cash machines have been around for years, I was pretty young when they started to appear more in streets, I suppose I just thought they was the natual thing, but I did not start using them until I was into my late 20's, Debit cards i just accepted, I suppose that was the time when I just thought nothing of anything and just went with the flow. It is only as i got older that i started to think more into these things.
Maybe it is one of my mates fault as he thinks there is a conspiracy with everything, and goes on about Haarp and chemtrails. Maybe some of what he is saying is rubbing off on me. Not that I agree with him about Haarp or Chemtrails.

You seem to be using both without duress. Even going to the trouble of getting a new card. If cash is your preference, why have any cards? Maybe in time you will see this facility the same way you view debit or cash point cards.”

Need cards for online use, also need a card to get money in the first place. i would not be able to order my coffee without a card, I suppose i could as i use paypal, but the card need to be linked to paypal. that is a thought I got to change that as my old card is still linked.

I should have stayed using the old card until I got my new non-contactless card, would have saved changing it twice.

Maybe by the time my new non-contactless card runs out, which if it is the same as my contacless card is 2017, I will have the chance to see how this NFC thing pan out and will ask for a contactless card, even if it would really be a waste as I think I will always prefer to use cash. We will see what happens in the next couple of years.

i a few things to sort out in my life over the next 6 months and some deep thinking about where i am going to go from here.

Yeah, I meant to post that story on here last night. An interesting use of NFC tags (which is essentially all they are I guess).

Mind you, I've got a load of tags laying around that I never use - so don't know if this is actually as 'must-have' as it might seem (if they're going to be relatively expensive*). For a while I had it so I could 'tap in' in the car and activate the SatNav app and turn on Bluetooth, but it really didn't save that much time.

Having tags stuck to the phone is a better idea, I suppose.

* Once the idea gets ripped off, expect to see them going for a few quid on fleabay.

looks ok to be honest, i do agree that they are taking more buttons of phones and replacing a lot of it on screen.
How much is a battery killer is NFC? i presume it uses very little.

I accept what Noise says. No one has to agree.

Everyones a bit habitual and at least Noise admits it.

Habitual? Maybe I am, sometimes I wish I was not, but that is the way things are.

That Dimple is $18 though its a 2 button version, I guess few people need 2 extra buttons never mind 4. Obviously it wont work with the iPhone.
Neither will it work with the HTC M7 and M8 because of the obvious antenna signal limitations of metal phones.

I think this mainly means Apple Pay though if Google Pay has lots of use in the US, that too.
I guess if you mention Apple Pay the not a problem crowd will be out in force, lessening the gravity of the FBI warning.

It will be all mobile payments systems. No payment method is perfectly secure and fraud will always happen.

I sort of think ID theft is using banks and Apple Pay as a soft target, maybe from all the data harvested from jailbroken iPhones with trojans installed.
People jailbreak to steal software but much of those pirate app downloads are doctored with hidden malware runnng in tandem.

ID theft in itself has to be an even bigger problem, the online world making that problem far bigger than any time in history.
