Cover Drive being ignored by Capital FM ?
Has anyone noticed that Capital havent been playing their new single? I thought they were signed to Capital like The Wanted were ? Well because of that, Cover Drives new single only managed to peak at 24 and now its freefalling out of itunes. Anyone know why ?

Lucky them.
Why anyone would want to be part of that radio station is beyond me. |

Capital has about 5 songs on their playlist... Usually a concoction of Rihanna, Katy Perry, Jessie J, David Guetta and the fifth being reserved for your come and go abomination like Sam and the Womp.

I thought they were from Barbados and there was a you scratch my back thing where they played them and then the Wanted would get played in America. Obviousy not needed now as Wanted are doing fine in States.

Aren't Capital hammering their song with Far East Movement, though?
And they're probably being ignored because they're flops. 'Lick Ya Down' and 'Sparks' spent like three weeks in the top 40 each, 'Twilight' is one of the lowest selling #1's of the year, their album went to #14 and hasn't even sold 25K and their single with Dappy spent a week in the top 40. |

Capital are playing another Cover Drive song, Turn Up the Love by Far East Movement, so maybe they don't want to have two of their songs in rotation at the same time (although they seem to be fine with having 4 different Rihanna songs in rotation, so maybe that's not the reason).

Looks like they've been dropped by Capital (Global Talent) / contract not re-newed.Only one play by a Capital / Global radio station http://comparemyradio.com/artists/Cover_Drive
If they have been dropped it shows that Capital / Global is definately less concerned about the quality of the music they play, very much more concerned about how much money they can make out of the music they play.Commercial radio should always be a balance between the quality of the music & it's money making activities SURELY. Not on here anymore anyway http://www.thisisglobal.com/talent/ http://www.thisisglobal.com/publishing/Artists/ |
