Tracey Barlow - Needs to start being used better
Kate Ford is a decent actress and the character of Tracey is one of a lot of potential.
There's a deep phycoligical desire to be loved and fear of rejection about Tracey which makes her do the things she does. I think Corrie need to explore her vonerable side. Thoughts? |

Ive had enough of her scheming, its tedious.
I like her away from Steve and prefer her when she with Beth, i also liked her when she was annoying Norris. |

Tracy hasn't felt like a real character since Kate Ford took over, since that time she has simply lurched from one personality to the next, depending on what the plot requires.
She's a cold blooded murderer and they haven't ever tried to redeem her over that (not that they could), they might as well keep using her as a plot device bitch and get rid when she's no longer suitable, bit late for character development imo. |

I agree but Tracy is too pantomime these days.
She's a murderer who is still playing twisted mind games with people and everyone ends up laughing about it... |

Tracy was born 1977 and Ryan was born 1992 no one seems to mention there is a 15 year age gap between them

![]() Bit cradle snatching ! I don't buy this Ryan/Tracy storyline though. I know he can't believe his luck and is a randy teenager but he must be able to see that she is playing him for Michelle's benefit? |

She's basically Janine Butcher without the depth.

Like a lot of Coronation Street characters nowadays, utterly pointless. Contrived return, different personality every episode, no potential, storylines which end up going nowhere so might as well not have even happened, desperation storylines for her to be liked by the public and to give her screen time. The actress is poor, she even makes a wink look panto.
I think whoever is in charge should giver her one final swan song. |

The age gap has been referred to quite a bit by Michelle and Tracy's friend Beth and then again tonight with Deirdre.
I don't buy this Ryan/Tracy storyline though. I know he can't believe his luck and is a randy teenager but he must be able to see that she is playing him for Michelle's benefit? I think he does know. The way he looked at Michelle when Tracey was in their home on Sunday night - he knows it's winding her up. I Feel sorry for Kate Ford. She's a good actress and the character of Tracey could have been very interesting. She's going down the same path as Janine on Eastenders though - they've butchered the character and it probably is too late to go back. |

She is the worst actress on the show.
Please give her a slow agonising death as befits the murderer she is. I simply cannot take her character seriously while she claims to be innocent of her crimes. |

I want Tracy to move on from Steve because her one sided fixation with him is really getting old. I think she'd would be perfect for Jason. Jason's never happier than when he's being bossed around by a gobby female. She's just the daughter-in-law Eileen deserves.

Kate Ford lives in London and she always said she would only be back in Corrie for a while when she returned in 2010, personally I think she has reached the end of the road in Corrie and Tracy should be axed- possibly been killed off to give the character some closure.

The obsession with Steve has gone on way too long. They really need to move the character on, preferably out of Weatherfield. I could understand maybe if Steve was a great catch, but....it's Steve.

Brilliant pun
![]() As Tracey herself pointed out in last night's episode, the age gap is similar to that between Ken and Deirdre but nobody ever makes snide remarks about them. Oh sorry, must be because it's OK for an older man to be a with a younger woman but not the other way round. Great idea Keeki! That would be a classic storyline. After trying to stomach Eileen's attempts at cooking, Tracey would be desperate for her mum's stuffed marrow ![]() ![]() ETA: Loving the thread title - I think she's being well used by Ryan at the moment, in more ways than one!! |

"Thoughts?"
The character is a cold-blooded murderer that confessed to the murder to both her solicitor and to her mother. She used the Croppers appallingly; was horrible to the lovely Claire. etc. Final thought: get rid of the character, it is pointless. |
