Will we ever see another successful boy/girl group again?

As the title says, will there ever be another successful boy/girl group again or are they out of date now. Shows like the X Factor etc have never produced one, so I am wondering maybe we will never see this type of group again.

I expect someone is going to point out a really obvious current one to me, but I just cannot think of one at the moment

Um, One direction. They have done amazingly well all around the world.

But we need a girlband to shake things up. I hope Little Mix or Stooshe's material proves to be a winner.

The OP means a mixed group like Steps.

Ahh a mixed group. Yeah probably, but it was a more 90s and early noughties thing. The last mixed group I remember is Liberty X.

Do 'Cover Drive' count?
They seem to be doing okay I think.

N-Dubz did good for themselves considering how urban they are.

I don't think we'll ever have another cheesy boy/girl group again unless they're made up of 10 year olds and were found on Britains Got Talent.

There will be other monogender bands but not until they get over the tired cliches that have been done to death - the back-of-a-fag-packet choreography, the relay singing (strictly one verse each), the ludicrous playing up to an audience that isn't there, the dearth of talent used to fill such groups, an almost complete exclusion of original material in favour of professional karaoke. Overcome all that and someone will have a winner!

I was a big fan of Liberty X back in the day. I remember being obsessed with Just A Little when it came out first. I loved the song and I had to buy the single. Then a few months later I bought their first album. I remember reading they had re-released it with remixes and three of their music videos and I searched everywhere for a copy (this was pre-Youtube after all!) and I eventually found it. I still have their albums. I must listen to them again Remember the Just A Little video?

Hopefully not.

I prefer something that actually has talent.

Who says we can't have another one and with talent A1 wrote and co-wrote some of there hits. but likely hood right now no because to me everything almost the same and when bands come back they have to do music in a style that is popular now like adding this dance/R & B to there sound.

There's Black Eyed Peas, N-Dubz, Young Money, Cover Drive, Roll Deep, etc.
